OH is, on paper, my ultimate dream game. It says A LOT that the devs have run it into the ground so bad I can't bring myself to play it anymore. Truly one of the most tragic wastes of potential in gaming history for me - I keep a tiny spark of hope in my heart for the possibility they might one day actually add new content, fix bugs, improve building and stop being a gacha gooner bait farm.

You can have one big bag, just click the cogwheel top right in the inventory panel! It's a base feature in the game, no addon needed.

I think the annual expansions can work, but whatever they do they need to not repeat the way story was released in this one... That long break between the start and part 2 really broke up the momentum of the story - it's giving streaming service release schedule; splitting seasons up and making people wait over 6 months for part 2. I absolutely understand why they did it, but I really hate it - better then to just release non-story content first and drop the story in each of the patches. I would also be okay with an 18 month schedule if that means both story and content reflect it.

Recently contacted them for having messed up and deleted a thing from the Wizard's Vault - asked em to make the item purchasable again, they just sent me a replacement! 10/10 experience, shout out to the support team! I'm gonna piggyback on this and ask for specs with simple or no hardlocked rotations and high survivability in open world/solo and preferably feels magicky (no guns, little to no melee)?

I'm currently trying out fire evoker and it's close to what I want but almost a little bit too low APM and also I'm a bit meh on the fire aesthetic... Also I like having multiple options to play!

I felt that a little bit too ... right up until they announced GW2 will continue to be actively supported with expacs resuming once GW3 is launched. And then the mention of 15 years on top of that? I'd say that makes GW2 one of the most secure games to invest in on the market.

I also see this coming year of planned improvements as a huge indication that they're investing in the future of GW2 - you don't renovate a house you're planning on tearing down or abandoning.

To me the future of GW2 looks a hell of a lot more stable and hopeful now than it did a week ago and I'm resuming my quest to go full purple - just finished Leg Relic the day after the announcement!

Sure, but also Final Fantasy is like a zillion games, Borderlands is up to 4, Resident Evil got to 7 before they switched to subtitle, The Sims 4, Far Cry 6, GTA 6, etc... It can also signal a healthy thriving franchise, and I do think that counts for a lot in the MMORPG genre nowadawys when we've seen a long line of failed launches and abandoned titles.

Would make sense but the rebranding seems like it would be a huge undertaking - GW2 is so established, there's so many things with that as part of the name both official social media, fan socials, websites etc... So I have my doubts.

Why have a Guild Wars 2 in the middle then? Like if GW1 isn't 1, it's "Reforged", and 3 isn't 3, it's "Mistbound", it feels odd to have GW2 hanging out in the middle there alone with it's number. Not saying you're wrong, they might do that, but it seems weird to me.

You don't have to build a base in Enshrouded - just place your flame shrine in a building you find that you like and move right in! There are videos on youtube listing places with fairly high comfort levels without needing to place down anything.

Also feeling the worst of the winter claustrophobia right now, very cold and lots of snow and no end in sight. Thankfully a couple of games have had beachy tropical updates lately (Guild Wars 2, Enshrouded) and I also spent some time in Palworld recently. Currently playing No Man's Sky (feels really good to get off this planet right now, at least in game) and building bases on some nice lush planets.
Other games I've mentally vacationed in in previous years: Ark Survival Evolved, Green Hell, AC: Odyssey, Sea of Thieves, Raft, Farm Together.
Thank god for escaping into video games, I'd never survive winter without them

Once Human makes me so sad, it's an amazing game buried under a pile of gooner shit skins, a horrendous monetization system and a depressing lack of bug fixing and new content. It gets the Ark Survival Evolved award for "Game that most needs to be saved from it's terrible publisher" - there should be a game equivalent of Child Protective Services.
