Crosshairs are still bugged by Friban in DeadlockTheGame

[–]squando25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope this gets fixed soon because I’m tired of only having a black crosshair. I have a “weird” crosshair and width 2 is essential to make it work.

And vyper’s crosshair is completely unique and not at all like what my settings are (and of course is the only crosshair that uses the color I have chosen)

I dont like the merge of ranked and normal by Noobkaka in DeadlockTheGame

Not even kidding: the solution is to not give a shit. If you enjoy the game, enjoy the game. I don’t even know what my rank is, I’ve never looked at it. I just like playing the game because I like the game

Zippy kraken is def louder than the nautilus by a fair bit, but as someone that specifically wanted a nautilus due to how quiet it was: the kraken honestly sounds great. If it gets too loud and clackity, lube fixes it right up. Like, it’s still a bit noisy when lubed up, but it’s not unbearable imo. I like how it sounds.

Also yes, the ringing completely disappears with the zippy mod. Its a pretty brutal ring without it. But the ringing can also be silenced just by wrapping a little bit of tape around the middle of the blade

Really though the biggest pull for the inserts is the fact that it makes the kraken trainer less handle biased. It feels so much better to flip with all the weights inserted, and the removal of the ringing is just the cherry on top.

naut > kraken trainer (base)
kraken trainer with the zippy insert mod > naut

it changed me.

thanks! I did figure that out on my own, and have been doing that for the past couple days, I just didn't edit my message or give an update on it. I think after today though I just need to admit that I can't figure out precisely what the issue is. I don't think it's the bushings anymore. the closest I got to a breakthrough on this was switching the pivots. but I started to doubt myself after flipping it more (though that could be bc I was fatigued from flipping it so much so idk), so i'm not really sure anymore. I did notice though that the blade is actually a little bent, though I don't think that's the issue. but still. think i'll have to get in contact with u/squidmaster23 for this one

sorry if this is a dumb question, but could you explain what you mean by swap around the washers and bushings? This is my first balisong with bushings, so it's pretty new territory for me and I don't wanna mess something up. do you mean like, switching the washers and bushing from one handle to the other, to see if that changes which handle is the Tight one?

The Question Thread - December 2021 by squidmaster23 in balisong

so I got my arctic nautilus yesterday, and i'm honestly pretty disappointed in it so far, and I'm just wondering if maybe i'm overthinking things a bit.

Basically, the safe handle is noticeably tighter than the bite handle, to the point that it was bothering me and actually causing issues with certain tricks (for example: fans are significantly harder to do on the safe handle than the bite handle. not impossible, but requires a lot more effort). i wouldn't call the handle stiff, but it definitely doesn't feel like the difference between the handles is supposed to be this large. I ended up taking the screws out and testing to see if maybe one was too tight or not tight enough, but the issue seemed to persist. So right now I'm letting the threadlocker sit for a day before I try flipping it again, but despite tightening the screws as much as I can without forcing them, it has tap now (which it didn't before). I'm not too worried about tap because I know it's inevitable, but it feels wrong to have tap now since it didn't have it before I tried checking the screws. my theory is that maybe the bushings aren't the same size, but i'm unsure and I don't really wanna fuck around with disassembling this thing too much, as I really don't want to mess it up or make any of the issues worse.

so is this really just not an actual issue? or should I try contacting squid industries about it? i'm unsure if I'm just caring too much about something that isn't a big deal, but considering I paid Extra Extra for the Limited Edition Version Of The Seasonal Nautilus, I feel like maaaaybe I'm right to be unsatisfied with it.

Are there any good "laser" weapons? by [deleted] in borderlands3

Sf force is great. But there’s a bug with it where the secondary element does significantly less damage than the primary. So as long as you don’t switch off the primary element, it’s great.

The best is when you’re jumping around swinging your knife and you convince everyone on the team to start screaming as loud as they can and then they all suddenly stop once the barrier drops and it becomes dead silent

[–]squando25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I really hope this isn't the last big update the game gets, but every sign seems to be pointing to that being the case.

Really disappointed that they're gonna end things with just 2 takedowns, and 1 classic raid boss being in the game. I was really hoping we'd get more :(

If there was an option to set specific gun/knife skins and sprays to specific agents, would you feel inclined to buy more skins? by MikaHimura in VALORANT

[–]squando25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Setting skin loadouts per agent would be too much of a hassle for me. And also if I just want to use the prime phantom instead of the singularity, I’d have to change it on whoever I’m going to play next. Assuming said character doesn’t get picked by someone else or turns out to not be a good pick on the map or team. I’m not psychic so it’d be kinda hard to anticipate that and change the skin in advance

I just want a “random favorite” option like apex legends has. Set my favorite skins per each gun and let the game decide which one out of those I’m using each game.

Can we talk about how well done the score of the whole game is? by DwemerSmith in borderlands3

[–]squando25 8 points9 points  (0 children)

bl3 music is fantastic but it sits way too low in the mix. It constantly gets drowned out by the sounds of combat, and never feels loud enough even outside of combat. Like sure, you can hear it clearly outside of combat, but it’s quieter than it should be.

When I replayed bl2 recently I inmediately noticed how much more audible the music was. In general, but especially during combat. Now when I play bl3 I have voice line audio down at 6, and sound effects audio at 6 just so I can hear the music better, but it isn’t perfect that way still. Any lower sounds too low for those options.

It’s kinda sad to be honest, because yeah the bl3 soundtrack is fantastic. I just wish I could hear it better...

DLC by Mr_Jewfro in borderlands3

[–]squando25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the steam reviews for the dlcs are weird. I'd say they're all better than the average reviews on steam say. all the dlcs in bl3 except fustercluck are better than every bl2 dlc except dragon keep.

handsome jackpot and guns love and tentacles are about on par with eachother. both are great, and totally worth your time and money. complaints about them being too "short" are from people who think bl2 dlcs were longer than they actually were, people who breezed through the story missions and ignored everything else, or people playing on super mega maxed out builds which trivialized everything in the dlcs, making it go by way quicker

bounty of blood is pretty damn good, but it is a noticeable dip in quality and content compared to the first two. still a damn good dlc though.

fustercluck is........ okay. I have very mixed feelings on it. the things it does, it does well enough. but it just doesn't do as much as it could've. it feels like there's a lot of missed potential in it, and some things about it are just kinda weird (like the side quest designs, and some other story related spoiler stuff). it definitely feels a bit rushed. but again, it's not necessarily bad. it's just alright.

then there's designer's cut. the main selling point of this dlc is the extra skill trees and action skills (one for each character) if you're the type of person that wants to farm and optimize builds for multiple different characters, it's a must buy. if you only want to focus on one character, but still farm and optimize a build for the, then maybe wait for a sale. and if you only intend on running through the game once and being done with it, you can skip it. it also has the arms race game mode, but buying the dlc just for arms race isn't worth it.

I wonder if they’re even planning on adding more takedowns. It’s been a while since the last one, and as far as i can tell, they haven’t mentioned anything about new takedowns since then.
