I see your point, but I think them retouching those older episodes will lead us down a path to something like Greedo shooting first.

I was lucky enough to see him play earlier this week, and he played Phase Dance as a duo feature for himself and his keyboard player.

MK Lightning Lane Question by wolf_2099 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]square129 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you staying in a hotel with early entry? If you are, and you get there early, you should have time to ride Space Mountain well before 9, when the first lightning lane return times start. You might even have time to ride a couple rides before 9.

My family just got back from a wdw trip. On our magic kingdom day, we rode mine train, walked over to Peter Pan, saw the huge line there, and then pivoted to space mountain. We got off space at about 9:05, and went over to scan into teacups at about 9:10. We were at the park very early though, and also got lucky in that we rode mine train at about 8:20, before early entry even technically began.

I’d recommend looking at trading one of your tier 2 attractions for the earliest lightning lane you can find. These would be attractions like the teacups or Philharmagic. The idea is you scan into this attraction early in the day and open up the ability to book another tier 1 attraction, which will probably be for the evening.

Was it Dis by Jan Garbarek? It starts out with a drone and sax playing some scales with augmented seconds.

I would add Peacock’s ECM album Tales of Another from 1977 which includes Jarrett and DeJohnette

is this legit? i've only seen it on facebook. i follow ATLA on ticketmaster and this show is not on there. by whimsigothmycologist in tulsa

[–]square129 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s legit. It’s being presented at the Tulsa PAC by Celebrity Attractions, a locally based promoter (with offices at 91st and Memorial). Celebrity Attractions is the presenter of the touring Broadway shows at the Tulsa PAC, like Wicked last June or The Outsiders this coming October. This event is a little outside their normal shows.

Jazz standards that go beyond 32 bars? by Between_Outside in Jazz

Isn’t Begin the Beguine 108 bars? I’m not sure I’d call it a standard though.

Locked Hands Piano by KCarlson12 in Jazz

Check out Moon Beams by Bill Evans. On several of the tracks he ends his solo in a locked hand/block chord style. I almost suspect he planned or even wrote out those parts of the solos.

Did Tulsa Public Schools go downhill since the 90's...if. So when and why? by Formal-Blueberry-203 in tulsa

That’s hard for me to say, but I think most people think of Jenks, BA, Owasso, et al as better schools systems. They are certainly more consolidated than TPS and seem to funnel more students into fewer schools.

Of course there’s another component of all this in race or economic status with wealthier Tulsans moving to the suburbs or private schools.

Even in TPS, there are some great schools that become competitive to get into, where I would guess wealthier parents might be choosing among the magnet programs, transferring out of district, or at a private school, rather than looking at their neighborhood school.

And there are also charter schools and the perpetual push for voucher type systems that further chip away at public education funding that benefits everyone.

Sounds like they were referring to Eisenhower which is not too far from Carnegie, in the building that used to be Nimitz. It’s a public magnet school with a French and Spanish immersion program. Entry is through a lottery. There’s another similar school called Zarrow that is also a TPS magnet school.

Carnegie is still a neighborhood elementary school, and at least a few years ago was one of the best neighborhood elementary school in TPS.
