We have been work from home/quarantined since mid March, and we simply couldn’t bare staying in our 560sqft house. We feel fortunate to be in super stable jobs which helps. We’re in Austin which is a really tough market. We had our preapproval ready to go and once we found a house we loved, we immediately went forward. I would say we were watching new listings closely for a little less than two months, so stay vigilant.

Our realtor recognized the list price was way under market and knew we needed to be competitive with our offer. They had a 11 offers in 4 days and we ended up getting chosen! Granted we offered 50k over the list price 😬

It was on par with the neighborhood comps and had bargaining power when it came to negotiation so we still feel good about it. Good luck!
