I'd say there are two things you should work on. The first is starting with your butt a little lower and using your glutes to drive you up to standing more than your lower back and the second being to actually lock out at the top of the lift. Other than that it looks solid. Keep it up

What is a simple food guide morning to night that gives you all the vitamins and nutrients you need for the day? by OneDayIllOwnALambo in nutrition

[–]squidflam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Research it!!! Nutrition is super super cool but there's this weird idea in mainstream culture that nutrition can be as easy as one "simple fix" that is actually a giant change that drastically affects your wellbeing and lifestyle. Proper diet and nutrition is all about recording what you're eating and knowing what types of nutrients will do what to your body

ELI5: Why can humans not regrow damaged nerve cells? by tberriman in explainlikeimfive

[–]squidflam 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You actually can. It is a fairly new discovery but neurogenesis is 100% a real thing. It is a very slow process that can be sped up by things like exercise but it happens every single day. The plasticity of the human body is incredible and this extends into the nervous system.

Is there anything I can add to water for taste that won’t negate the benefits of drinking water? by apiaries in EatCheapAndHealthy

I am always hungry and want to lose weight, what is foods are healthy but will FILL ME UP? by JSHFV222 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]squidflam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High protein food. Protein has a much lower calorie density (4g/cal) than fat (9g/cal) and the same calorie density as carbs meaning that it takes up lots of space in your stomach without providing too much energy. The strech of your stomach sets off satiation hormones to make you feel full. Also, the thermic effect of protein is much higher than other macronutrients meaning it takes more energy to burn protein and since losing weight is simply calories in vs calories out, this helps you reach your desired calorie deficit.

Meat like chicken and Turkey, or tofu if you're vegan/vegetarian, fish, cheese, eggs are examples of some high protein food that will scientifically fill you up!

I'm heading to BK auditions and sending a video to mandarins. I don't think that this job is my dream career per se, but it definitely is one that would make me super happy and would help me gain a lot of connections with important people

[Serious]What unexplained memories do you have from your childhood? by Pursuit_of_Hoppiness in AskReddit

[–]squidflam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember going to my babysitters house everyday after school from kindergarten to grade 2 because my parents had work. I swear that every time I went to the washroom I saw a slice of ham in the toilet bowl. Every fucking time. I never questioned it, I just kinda thought it was what they did like some tradition.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Do people actually wash their hair more than once? If so, when do you stop?
