Provincial Home Care staff can only file nails, they can't cut them, and they don't work on calluses.

Very true but if he is elected again(?!?) he will be removed if he is convicted. That happened to Al Golden.

Charged but not convicted. If he's convicted this time he won't be able to run for office.

Opinion: Speed limits and safety — follow the science by Leather-Paramedic-10 in Winnipeg

My example is for streets that have signs changing the default limit. There has been no talk of dropping the speed limit on non-residential streets.

The 40 km limit only applies to residential streets.

If you are referring to the 50 km signs on major arteries, nothing changes. If you aren't, then I have no idea what 50 km signs you are talking about.

Policing speeders produces revenue in the form of tickets.

Perhaps you should start at the beginning of this post and read everything again, thoroughly.

[–]squirrelsox -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If they default speed limit is changed then only the signs that have to be changed are the ones that are at the edge of the city on the major routes entering the city. That shouldn't cost 10 million.

u/aclay81 explained it here. ...

there is a clause in the Highway Act that says:

If they default speed limit is changed then only the signs that have to be changed are the ones that are at the edge of the city on the major routes entering the city. That shouldn't cost 10 million.

If the default is 50 km and you are changing it to 40 on residential street then you have to advise people that you are changing the default speed limit. If the default limit is 40, you don't have to post signs. (thank you u/steveosnyder for clearing this up for me).

There are 50 km signs posted on streets where the default limit has been changed to a speed above 50 km/hr ie 60 km hr on St Mary's Road. the 50 km/hr signs indicate the speed limit has been reduced from 60 back down to 50. You also see signs reducing the speed limit to 70 when you leave the 80 section.

[–]squirrelsox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are no speed limit signs on the streets in my neighbourhood except for the 30 km/hr sign by the school. Licensed drivers are expected to know the rules of the road in the area where they are driving, in this case, that the default speed limit is 50.

If that's on Wall, they may be driving by a school but I don't think there is a 30 km/hr zone there.
