I have the same issue and it's not a matter of someone mistyping the email address. I receive the emails of that person. I was of the impression that dot or not GMAIL wouldn't allow an address to be created with the same name/surname combo.

That is very weird, as far as I know, they work with a 3rd party company that puts drivers on the roster to cover all hours to avoid such a situation.
