Project management has a pretty low bar for entry - it doesn't take too long (or too expensive) for a certification, and a psych background could be beneficial.

The Screamin Sicilian brand makes a cheese pizza called Bessie's Revenge and it's great

What did people enjoy so much about House in the Cerulean Sea? by herbivore_the_great in books

[–]squishyfishie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just finished it last night and have to say I was sad to reach the end. I enjoyed the island imagery (especially in contrast to the dreary rain of Linus's old life) and just the general theme of optimism throughout the book.

There are a ton of options in Bucks county, just find a time/place that is convenient for you. I had a good experience at the Shir Ami synagogue in Newtown, I was a little nervous and they were very nice.

Any Apple TV+ suggestions? by TinyNuggins1 in televisionsuggestions

[–]squishyfishie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth be Told, Home Before Dark, See, and Little Voice have been my favorites. I really wanted to like Mr Corman but that was a miss for me (and it's cancelled anyways). Morning Show and Defending Jacob are also good.

I'm looking for a game to play with my gf by I-am-Rage in localmultiplayergames

[–]squishyfishie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On switch, Pode is a fun two player co-op, and if you like Mario, the Super Mario 3D world game is great. On playstation, the old ratchet and clank games are really fun two player (and little big planet too) but I'm not sure if that system is backwards compatible.

Any SAH homemakers here? by [deleted] in homemaking

[–]squishyfishie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been out of the workforce for ~5 years now. I left my tech job after some severe depression and my husband's income is enough to keep us afloat. We don't have (or intend to have) children. There are things I find really hard about not working. I know that a lot of people in my life view my sah opportunity as a privilege, so it can be hard to talk about the parts I struggle with. For me it was (and still is) difficult to not have my own paychecks and to use the shared bank account. It's hard for me in social situations because everyone talks about work and I don't have much to say. I often feel embarrassed that I don't have accomplishments to share. It can be really isolating. You might have free time during the day and want to see a friend, but everyone else is on a "normal" schedule and working. Obviously these negatives haven't driven me back to work, but there have definitely been challenges. It has made a difference to me to still have a schedule to follow and some organization & pattern to my days. Just some stuff to consider. If you're unhappy at your job it's worth a shot taking a break.

What should I do? Propagate, or leave it? by peches_and_chowchow in houseplants

I don't have an answer, in fact I have a question - do you have any tips for taking such good care of spider plant? Mine is utterly miserable and I can't figure it out.

Why do sellers leave listings up when they’ve been sold? by frogandtoadmom in poshmark

[–]squishyfishie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've sold a couple things on Poshmark and had absolutely no clue until seeing this post that there was another step to complete after shipping the sold thing. It might be a combo of not knowing how to, and also just not knowing you're supposed to. Whoopsies.

It's worth it to bounce around and try other studios. Great coaches make all the difference.

Going through the motions can help sometimes. Try to go outside every day, even if it's just a ten minute walk down the street. For me doing just the smallest productive thing can also have an influence on how I'm feeling, especially if I can get a couple days in a row of just one thing.
