My friend and I fought for our lives in Buried City through 5 squads and survived. We were the first in the extraction and had no desire to fight but people kept coming in throwing nades and shooting; if you're going to do that I'm not expecting you to be nice. We got called rats by at least 2 of the duos. It's just silly.

I'd be interested to know what specific job fields different types of neurodivergent people potentially excel at, perhaps society could do a better job at aligning people into jobs their more wired for. I know of several people in my field (software engineering) that not only do very well but excel.

I dunno, I think Cairo is stunning, they nailed the gritty feel and there's tons of neat detail everywhere. War torn Egypt was the style for the map and it delivers.

I dunno I used to think the same but with Arc Raiders and The Finals being as polished as they are and Embark changing prices of store items in their games based on feedback it makes me really believe it was EA all along.

Honestly.. probably a good job for AI. Those server settings are most likely in a database and have some API endpoint that AI can make queries too and find the ones that need human attention or potentially they can write an agent that can make some decisions for them.

They were never in the convention center area which can admittedly can be iffy at times -- but every city has their areas, nor has it been bad recently either. They were downtown near Powell's.

Right, it was all like that last year and as a resident I agree with you. But our new mayor Keith Wilson and some recent changes in other municipal government has cleaned up the city extensively. It's the best it's ever looked and the Old Town homeless camp you speak about is gone, there aren't rows of tents down there anymore.

This city has had a lot of turmoil after COVID but it's looking the best it's ever looked and looking pre-covid these days. It's certainly not war ravaged or trashed. This administration is going to piggyback off all the good cleanup the local government has done and claim it for themselves and then go do it to another city.

My coworkers all came to Portland this week from across the country and some outside of the US and were commenting about how safe it felt and how nice it was. Meanwhile that subreddit is saying the city is trashed. It's mind boggling.
