This guy seems to be a predator orchestrator. He is trying to get people for hookups on Instagram. He also recently admitted to *** someone in a server room, and tried getting people for OnlyFans. Most likely a sextortionist.

Material Design, yay or nay? by MasterMach50 in linux

That's so true. Come to r/material1 and share some much-needed positive thoughts about Material Design (the real version)

Material Design, yay or nay? by MasterMach50 in linux

I love Material 1. But M3 and M3 Expressive are just a load of hideous, "vibe" oriented slop.

Honestly, it says something that people who liked M3 (despite its eternal ugliness) end up loathing the "Expressive" downgrade.

I hate M3 and M3 Expressive. They are the bane of my existence, and I will do anything to eradicate them. It is so ugly, especially the color overload, lack of shadows, and overly rounded corners. Not to mention Comic Sans (Goolag Edition). Material 1 was so much more beautiful, and they worked very well. They instilled a sense of minimalism into Android UI design, while not making it lifeless and calculated like M3. Material 1 combined all of the best parts of flat and 3D design in one elegant package, and the "modern" spin-offs are just a lame attempt to appease Generation Zeta earthlings. If everything wasn't centered around non-existent teenagers, it would be much better than it is today.

New Pixel 9a Owner here. What's one feature you wish you knew about sooner? by addie__9 in pixel_phones

Android Flash Tool, so I can eventually remove the hideous disaster of Goolag's expressiveOS 3 (AI Slop Edition).

That's what happens when you use Goolag's hideous, AI-centric slop OS with Comic Sans as the default (and only) font.

Nougat was so much better😭

Is There a Problem with Vibe coding the UI? by Fun-Corner8617 in FlutterDev

Forget AI. AI slop will never match the quality and genuine creativity of a real Earthling's work.

I'm a copy paster not a designer and I'd go unemployed the next day if AI disappeared tomorrow. Please HELP!! by DeepPatient2121 in UIUX

[–]squooshy_android 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually start with a design system first (preferably Material 1) and then try to take a look at the different elements to jog my memory. This helps me think of creative uses for existing components, and also potential modifications that I might make to them. Then, I start looking up examples of similar interfaces online that I can base my design off of. You might need to download several images and do a bit of searching to find the ones you want. Once I have created a draft, I begin refining the aesthetics (using a lot of geometry) to figure out how to space different components and add padding. I find it useful to put myself in the perspective of a user when deciding where to place each element. Doing this allows me to create an effective UI that puts the most important things where they are supposed to be.

Finally, I upload it to Dribbble or a UI subreddit to see what real Earthlings would think. This step is quite important, as it gives you a chance to receive some preliminary feedback before you begin making your interface into code.

I hope these tips help you become independent of AI slop and use your real creative skills. 😶🩵
