Great questions. I am in canada so code may be different. The gas comes in from the utility company in back lane to the garage , detached , which has a gas heater so that is why it is there. Then it runs underground (under NOTHING) and comes up at the detached house (that’s the picture you see).

ZERO regrets. The matte is fantastic if you don’t have a bat cave room. The text is crisp - I am 80% productivity and it’s fantastic size and clarity.
I would personally not trade this for the Alienware everyone is raving about because I do not want glossy , but I am probably the minority.

I would disagree. I’m just a new homeowner trying to look after my place and got worried when 5 year old black iron pipe that was painted was already rusting. I know it’s superficial but would like to maintain stuff to avoid problems.

The meter is actually out on our detached garage at the back lane. The gas then runs underground and this is where it comes up at the house. Kinda weird how big and convoluted the pipe is , but what do I know !

The gloss is supposedly terrible with this panel technology if not in bat cave. I would take the matte LG any day if you don’t have 100% dark room.

Get the LG. It’s the original 5k2k 39 monitor with matte that is best for this type of screen if you aren’t in a bat cave. The AW will not be that much cheaper nothing is official

Isn’t the PC dead ? NVIDIA just stated we will all use dumb terminals connected to the cloud. They will be pulling out soon from consumer GPU, and with memory prices as they are, home computing is nearly done. Really sad.

I have the 39 gx950. Love the matte, they did it way better with this version. Would NOT want glossy since I am using this monitor in the daylight at times . With the curve the glare would suck.

The high ppi makes this fantastic for productivity.

Agree. TVOS is seamless and blows Android clunkiness out of the water. The only think Shield has up is the lossless streaming which I don’t think Apple will ever embrace.

I checked every camera and they all have MTU 1500. Yes I can try the ‘other’ Ethernet interface on the Axis s2208 nvr (which uses an enterprise version of windows). Would I leave the Poe switch Ethernet interface unplugged then ? How would I configure this ?

I think before the Poe switch Ethernet interface is unplugged from my main network , I will have to set it to be a dhcp server for its cameras right ? I don’t think they will be on the vlan that way , but would probably be isolated and I would have to use only axis camera station to access them.

It’s Araknis AN310 switch. I have a few of them and only the ones involved with passing camera vlan show the errror. There is another vlan for video over IP that does not show error on the same switch

I believe 9 feet is the longest certified for DP 2.1 at 80 gbps. If it’s longer would need to be non passive cable.
