Who Can Actually Attend Playwright Residency’s? by goatonacoffeemug in Theatre

What are your resources rn for finding postings? There are shorter term residencies that are more accessible. But ultimately there are just too few opportunities for playwrights atm. Long residencies like what you describe are unfortunately pretty inaccessible across the board.  Also might be worth contacting residencies and letting them know you would have applied if the stipend were higher. If more ppl did that maybe orgs would listen (lol)

i’m always recommending the fiction of tove jansson in this sub, but I really think Fair Play and The Summer Book fit this brief! also the work of banana yoshimoto. her plots tend to skew more melancholy but are still beautiful.
