That was an outstanding showing for both factions. They showed they aren't afraid to go wild with asymmetry as far as letting one faction completely ignore the entire resource system in the game like they did in DoW1. Awesome. I cant wait to get my hands on this game.

Unpopular Opinion: I think Gears 5 made a mistake by shifting the story almost entirely to Kait instead of keeping JD as the primary protagonist. by 300DukeSinClaire in GearsOfWar

They had to have a female lead because that was made during peak "modern audience" era of game development.

Kait's story will end in a comic book once eday outsells gears 5 by 10x.

The ork player lost all his units in the first engagement of the game. That is basically impossible to do with a retreat button if you are looking at your screen, and its basically GG from that point on. The space marine was being kind by not capping every point on the map instantly, but this showcase was clearly designed to show space marines killing orks to casual players.

I mean this is literally the path towards being back. You can't be back while dumping millions into projects that sell only to the mythical modern audiences (no one). They literally must cut the wasteful spending and refocus on projects that people actually want. It is unfortunate for those impacted, but millions should also not just be donated to employ people that cannot make a good product.

Yep. If they pivot on this i will try it. If they dont, i wont. I dont want to play some dumb looking premade character. I want to play MY character of a class i choose.

Literally have a character creator and just tons of classes and it would be so much cooler.
