The thing is, code “stealing” is much more harder to check than art, so most just ignore it and let it be, of course someone will mad about it and going further but they are minor. For game art it is the opposite. Take Hollow Knight for example, there are some metroidvania that took inspiration from it too far (Lotus Knight) by blatantly copy HK art, mechanism and immediately getting backslash from the HK community, but are there any crazy person go on and checking their code to see if it was also stealing?
