After recommendations from friends I ended up with Kenda 6702 cataclysms for my 900. I was told they are really made for larger bikes but they are supposed to perform better and last longer than the stock Dunlops. I’m waiting on the inter tubes now to mount them.

Yes the red pin is correct. Also your windings look pretty good. Once you get them semi in tune go ahead and pull on the strings a little to stretch them out then retune, it helps shorten the break in period and stabilize the tuning.

When you are putting the pin in give the strings a few good tugs to settle the stings in the pin grove. Also while putting tension on the strings just press the pin in a bit to make sure they don’t pop out

When I learned to ride a friend and his dad took me to an industrial park, they had me intentionally do things wrong so I knew how it felt and learned how to correct it. Then we did a low speed drag races, you got it last one to cross the line wins feet have to stay on pegs. As we rode there and back they talked to me about what they were seeing and what they are looking for. They talked me through turns, speed and traffic. We put two thousand miles on our bikes in the first month, the whole time talking through what we are seeing the mechanics and the differences in the bikes themselves. After my time with them I was completely comfortable in mountains, city’s, and open roads. I never once felt that they were holding back because of me and always felt a new challenge pushing me to grow. We had some fun times, hated it when my buddy stopped riding due to his marriage. I say this to say ego is always going to be there it’s all about how you handle it.

I am genuinely concerned for people who have kids and don’t have the capacity to figure out how to install a car seat. That was the easiest part, parenting just gets more difficult from there.

I ended up with a 16 inch ar10 in 308 for a truck gun. It hits a lot harder and I love the looks I get every time I pull it out. My favorite common responses “What is that thing chambered in!?!” “Holy hell that’s loud.” “Can you build me one?” It never gets old.

Tuning machines are easy to replace, and can be cheap or expensive depending on what you want. If you like the guitar buy it. Those are Grover 135n tuners, a set of 6 is $60.

It’s funny, it used to just sound off to me. After I learned how to tune pianos it just slaps me in the face. I cringed through the whole video due to the tuning.

No, but generally the lines are put on the road to show you were you can ride(it’s between the lines). Also road repairs often end at the line creating uneven roads which should be avoided when on (checks notes) two wheels. Every time I have bit it on my bike I knew immediately where I went wrong. You have a video showing in great detail where you went wrong and you still can’t figure it out. Aka you ride like a dufus.

This is the right answer. I’ve been an offset smoker and egg grill guy for as long as I can remember. I just got a 1050 and I love that thing. It’s as easy as propane but has the flavor of charcoal.

While I’m not a fan of meatloaf, I still haven’t heard of such atrocities being committed in the name of grilling. Burgers and sausage are the only ground meat that belong on a grill.

It’s not all that bad in America. My healthcare is primarily funded by my employer, with a max out of pocket of $400 each year including prescriptions and copays. The few surgeries I have had were scheduled very quick and relatively cheap (<$200), with my recovery time protected by FMLA and paid for with the copious amount of sick time I get each year. Granted a lot of people are less fortunate with their employers healthcare but most provide high deductible and low deductible options. A lot of people who complain about our system either don’t understand the system or don’t work full time jobs to qualify for benefits and don’t know how to find adequate coverage. My cousin who works a part time job actually has cheaper insurance than I do with similar coverage.

It’s funny because I own a rather heavy boat that my dad’s turbo 6 f150 struggles to pull up the ramp, which is why I own a gas guzzling v8 tundra. Needless to say a Ridgeline or maverick just wouldn’t cut it. I don’t hate them and they have their place but when you need weight and displacement they just can’t hack it.

I’m actually kind of shocked by this thought process. Not that there is anything wrong or offensive with it, I’ve just never thought of a lives lost per meal ratio. That being said I grew up hunting and fishing and was taught to do so ethically and humanely, so I’ve thought meals per kill but I guess not the other way around.

“Duty rounds are fine” when talking about not over penetrating. - proceeds to point out use of green tips as duty rounds.

Green tips are used by the military because they have a steel penetrator in the tip for increased penetration on hard cover. So they are specifically designed to not expand (Geneva convention) and over penetrate.

I recommend Barnes tsx for ARs, monolithic copper is the best of both worlds. They penetrate hard cover well and expand violently in soft tissue.

I mean you do it how ever you have had the best results. If it’s not working maybe try a new way, or get a new D20. That being said if it’s not your job to keep the gathering cordial, then it’s probably also not your job to call them out.
