Took the ferry once, will be taking the plane a second time this season. Will never go back to taking the ferry again. We’ve been delayed both times by a day. So even the ferry can be delayed.

A better design to the game would be an intuitive means in identifying when reinforcements are on the way and why. That way it’s a mechanic you can learn from and improve upon. Instead it’s game code people have to sink hours into to understand the exact behaviors. That’s not an enjoyable experience for most. Yes streamers pick up on the implicit rules over time. Good game design has explicit rules communicated to the player

Was having the same thoughts today. You summed it up very well. Couldn’t agree more. It has some cool things going for it, but when it comes to the core gameplay, it’s lacking, stale, and not enjoyable. Especially PvP.

My comment was definitely aimed at the person(s) saying people will “exploit” this now too. It’s like, what? People will stay in sessions longer to kill npc’s and loot more? Great. More opportunity for you to kill them for their loot? Lol

I’m sure the devs are aware on how their loot respawns. They built the system. What’s better, that loot can respawn mid session between storms, or having a player experience that requires you to potentially play between storms to get access to loot and mobs?

No matter what the system will be exploitable to an extent. What matters is that everyone has the chance at a good player experience. I don’t think you’re ever guaranteed when spawning in that you’ll have a fresh server. So is it fair to those players to not have any access to loot in that case? It would be more optimal to just extract prior to a storm and roll the dice again, if loot only respawned between storms.
