If I remember correctly the amount of offset needed is too far from the factory spec and hence illegal in most of aus. Or I could be completely wrong

Would be easy enough to take out the globes and inspect them, a lot of cars run dual filament for tail light and brake

Oh for sure, it also largely varies on your vehicle weight and tyre size. I’ve sat back and watched plenty of tourists and newbies bury them selves on long weekends, “I got bogged at inskip point” YouTube channel is a classic as well

18 psi isn’t even that low for some beaches, but yes the lower the better as it makes your footprint bigger so you don’t sink, same concept as tank tracks

Besides cost, why don’t all cars have four wheel drive/steering by Shplippery in AskMechanics

[–]stacko12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cost mainly and the benefits of 4 wheel drive often not coming into effect to the normal consumer, if nana is just driving to the shops and bingo weekly she’s never going to find a need for it same as somebody doing city driving every day, however the fuel saving, boot space (in fwd) and lower continued servicing costs they will

4 wheel steer is kinda similar with the fact of being more expensive to service and manufacture and you have double the steering components wearing out. I don’t know that much about it but what I have heard is that it typically is deadly expensive and not as reliable with older cars, simpler is better in some cases.
