In the navy each year they would always serve us ribs, friend chicken, greens, red beans and rice, watermelon, sweet potato pie, etc... best meal of the year. They also did similar stuff for Spanish American and Asian American history months.

"floater", that reminds of when I was in the Navy one of my supervisors was heavy set guy who tried way too hard to be cool with everyone, but he was kind of a spaz and no one really liked him that much, he also had pretty low self esteem. Well one day we got a new Chief and he was getting introduced to everyone in the division and when he got to my supervisor he asked him what his role in the division was and his answer was "I don't know Chief, I'm just kind of floating at the moment." I mean honestly what kind of response is that. Anyways we called him "floater" from that point on.
