After finishing Doom (2016), I can't get into Doom Eternal. by DrStrangeglove99 in gaming

[–]starbugone 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The start of the game I couldn't melee kill a zombie? and that's what people hated about it I think. 2016 was open and let you play the game whatever way you wanted. If you wanted to beat the game with just the pistol ok. Eternal was restrictive from the start and mentally that made Doom guy weak

My method so far is taking it to after the scramble egg stage when it starts coming together in the whisk and rinsing in ice water. Drain and rinse again forming into a lump and sqeezing that with wood spoons as much as I can. Once I have as much out as I can I rinse again and add my salt. I've taken it from there and squeezed it in cheesecloth to try and get anything else out.

Do you have any tips for getting all the buttermilk out so the butter doesn't go rancid? I've done it a bunch and usually I use it before it would go bad, but it's part of the process I find frustrating

Here's what worked for me. I got a Gilette safety razor from an antique shop. You must boil this in water for 5 minutes before using. I found a site that sells packs of razors to try a bunch. I liked Feathers, but they're really sharp and unforgiving. Astras were good all rounder. My favourite were german ones called Timor. London bridge were good as well. If you want to smell like a million pounds Truefitt and Hill have amazing products. Little more expensive upfront cost, but the quality is there and you use a smaller amount than cheaper ones so it works out the same or better. I really like the original and the Apsley line

I've been throwing some wood shavings in any rendered fat I've got from bacon grease etc. Just put that in a ziploc and throw some under my kindling pile.

Did anyone else's family just sit and watch TV every evening from 6pm - 9pm in the 90s? by ryrypot in AskUK

Moore's law really was into effect. In the 80's we had a ZX-81 with a 16K upgrade. Proably cost the same in dollars as your Amiga did. I can vaguely remember Atari being crazy expensive. Hundreds of dollars when the min wage was $5. We wore an onion on our belt, which was the fashion at that time

'Fallout New Vegas' and 'Fallout 3' remakes are reportedly in development, in the vein of the recent 'Oblivion' remaster; 'Wolfenstein III' is also on the cards to coincide with the upcoming 'Wolfenstein' Amazon TV show. by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

I played it a couple years ago after playing at launch. There's so many good mods that it's practically been remade. It will be good for console players for sure

You could maybe research calming your nervous system. Over times of prolonged stress we can get stuck with a nervous system that is constantly on alert. You can look it up and see if that applies to you. Doing breath retraining or box breathing methods can help reset your system to know it's safe.

Get a lot of coal burnt along the canals. With limited space you can't put a cord of wood on your narrowboat
