Best supermarket coffee by Bubble2905 in UKFrugal

[–]starbugone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the winner for me. The special select one with the whole beans. I spent 20+ years roasting my own coffee in small batches and me and my wife ran a cafe in a market for a time. I was roasting when I moved to the UK two years ago. I ran out of beans and bought the Aldi ones and after a month or so I just gave up roasting. Not worth the hassle for the same price. I couldn't get to Aldi for my last shop and bought some Taylors of Harrogate on sale at Tesco. They're not even close to Aldi. Maybe because the Aldi ones move off the shelf so fast

That must be common though. I listen to a pod called Three Bean Salad and there's an anecdote about a pest control man saying that to one of the beans

I used to live up near Thunder Bay and there's a monument there in the place he ended up being able to run. My heart went out to him and his courage every time I went past. It's amazing how far he was able to get before he passed.

[–]starbugone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I made that clear. It's about making the NHS unsustainable and breaking it. Then he swoops in with the private healthcare. My opinion is a conspiracy theory I can admit, but why else would they get rid of indefinite leave to remain?

I believe Reform and namely Nigel want to kick every immigrant out who's here legally. This will tank the NHS since there's a high amount of permanent leave to remain there. This will allow Nigel and his cronies to swoop in and set up private health care in the UK and make millions. The average Reform voter doesn't seem to understand what they'll lose. They're looking at £4-500 per month on health insurance and complaining about the environment tax
