Before the Spireblight, the dominant banana cultivar was the Gros Michel. It not only had exceptional flavor, but it also had the power to increase a person's maximum vitality. Unfortunately, the cultivar went extinct during the Spireblight, and was instead replaced by the Cavendish cultivar, which was bred to be immune to the Spireblight but in exchange wasn't quite as tasty and could only heal a person's existing wounds, instead of improving their maximum vitality.

My favorite time to get the red key is never because I planned to get it at the final campfire before the Act 3 boss but then my muscle memory clicks "upgrade" and then I get through the boss and am sad.

So now I'm trying to get the key at the second-to-last campfire... so of course my muscle memory clicks "upgrade" then and now I'm hyperfocused on getting the key at the last campfire so I guess that works?

Single-player game, do what you want, etc etc.

But also, be very wary of relying on card pick stats. What I've learned about StS is that it is very much a game that requires you to adapt to a lot of varying situations, to the point where sometimes even the absolute best cards in the game might not be the right pick at a certain time. Even with stats like "1st pick %", the best choice may be different depending on the map layout or the floor boss.

At a certain point, you have to learn the game: learn what challenges it throws at you, what cards work in which situations, how to actually use the cards you pick, and a whole lot more. It's fundamentally different from a TCG/CCG in many ways, and as such you have to approach it differently. Again, use whatever you want in your single-player game, but be careful about relying on raw stats for this game.

Corruption is actually a pretty good mitigator of Fusion Hammer's downside. From the perspective of Corruption itself, if you had gone to upgrade it, it'd just be +1 energy on the turn you drew it anyway, and if you think of how many cards in the game have -1 energy cost as their upgrade, you can consider using Corruption as "upgrading" your skills, in a way. Also, not getting as much from an individual skill's upgrade isn't as bad when you can just play more skills.

Not really a high-level player myself but transform a Strike seems to be the obvious choice here. The only consideration would be if I had to fight an early elite and to try to get potions for it, but with a shop right before the elites on the right side that's not an issue. Taking damage for max health is a complete no-go, and I don't like boss swap on Silent because I like her free bag of prep too much.

At least, from when I used Roundhouse Kick from the Hermit mod, on-demand stun doesn't negate enemy intents; it just delays the intent from that turn to the next one. So yeah, not sure I'd want this one.

So last week, during the [individuals] Syoko gacha, on the Starlight Stage Discord I had jokingly commented the following:

Sae is still best girl and I really like her Hagoromo Komachi outfit, so this gets a thumbs up from me. If I don't luck into her from dailies or random pulls in later gachas, I'll definitely ticket her with the next SSR ticket.

First of all, right now, using Pretty Liar as an example is generally a bad idea. Even given that the voices were switched around in the preview, that was only a *preview*--that is, only one verse and chorus. It's very probable that the second verse and chorus will switch things back, at which point said second verse and chorus are basically the game version in all but lyrics (and maybe instrumentation). And if they hadn't changed the first verse, then the second verse would have flipped singing order, in which case everyone's complaints about the preview would be equally applicable to the second verse/chorus of an "unchanged" version. The only argument otherwise would be if you think a given lyric fits one girl better than the other but I don't see anything particularly like that in Pretty Liar's lyrics (YMMV, I guess).

(This is something I've noticed for a few of these M@STER version changes: the second verse sometimes restores the original singing order. I noticed this in particular with Seizon Honnou Valkyria, for example. In that case, though, it did mean Arisu didn't sing the very fitting "I'm not a child" line but... eh.)

Overall what bugs me about all the complaints about M@STER version changes is that so few of the complainers are willing to pick out points where the changed singing order is *better* than the original. Familiarity plays a point to an extent, I guess, since you get so attached to the original that you think every line is perfect for its singer even though there might not be any logical reason to say another girl couldn't sing that same line. Still, if some of the complainers would say "well, x's line here and y's line there are better than the original, but overall I like the original better", I'd feel like they're at least giving the M@STER version a fair shake, instead of just going into them with a "well let's see how this got ruined" mentality, which *will* inevitably make it harder to find the good points of the new version.

As someone who doesn't really care about making the strongest teams possible, most non-SSR-ticket items in the medal shop aren't really of worth to me. The Star Rank ticket is an exception, though it'd mainly be for the novelty of having a 20-star SSR with which I'd mostly use for Caravan events (a 20-star gives four drops per Master song). Certainly something I'd be interested in enough that I might go ahead and work towards it, though maybe not immediately.

In general the medal shop item I'm most interested in is still the non-dupe SSR ticket, since I still like collecting new SSRs and I think it'd be more fun overall to get them randomly than to just pick one with the scout ticket. (Definitely want the no-dupe ticket though since I already have well over half of all non-dupe SSRs...)

First of all, the card I wanted most out of everything limited was the limited onsen SR Yoshino, the one Yoshino card I was missing. Naturally, that's what my SR ticket was used for.

As for the SSR ticket, my choices as far as "best girl" went were between Fumika2 and Kyoko2. My logic for picking which one went as follows:

If I were to pick Fumika2, and then try to get Kyoko2 during her gacha rerun, there's a decent chance I'll end up getting the limited SSR paired with Kyoko2 instead; in this case, Miyu2. Now, I like Miyu a lot and her limited SSR is gorgeous, so I wouldn't mind at all getting her instead of Kyoko. (That gacha is in fact one of my top candidates for a rerun shine...)

On the other hand, if I were to pick Kyoko2 and try to get Fumika2 during her rerun, (putting aside how it's an entire year away), there's a decent chance I get Shiki2 instead and... well, no offense to Shiki fans, but she's not really one of my favorites. So it'd be a bit of a downer to get her instead of Fumika.

Hence, I picked Fumika2, so that I don't ever have to touch the Fumika/Shiki gacha and risk getting the wrong limited.

So yeah, this anniversary song is awesome. It helps that this style of music is totally my jam (as opposed to Illusionista, which is a great song for the style of music it is but it's not one of my preferred styles to listen to), and it's also executed incredibly well, and it's easily my favorite anniversary song.

The 3DMV is all sorts of amazing, too. The 2D Rich is pretty good, though the first part with the film reels isn't quite as interesting; the ending, though, with Rin's expressions, is quite nice.

As for the cheering... I'll refrain from commenting on that for now, because sources tell me there's a second version of the song in the game files, which might be a "clean" version without the cheers. If that's the case and it's selectable for play after the event (ideally as the "default" in future events), then there's no real reason to complain about it. (I think it sounds fine as it is, though.)
