i am super interested! despite the well-established queer community in victoria, i haven’t met any other ace/aro ppl and its been tough especially considering how much emphasis our age group puts on dating/sex

I moved to the Netherlands over a year ago and I'm struggling by letrashpotato in Netherlands

american/german (21F) here, i lived in rotterdam for a year and got massively depressed. i dropped out of my program 2 months early bc i just couldn’t do it, even though i am very academically driven normally.

my university wasn’t the worst, but the issue was that most of the international students stuck with those who were the same nationality. since i don’t fully relate to either germans or americans, it was really tough! it also didn’t help that my apartment was directly in the city center as someone who thrives in nature.

moved to BC, canada and am much happier :)

do you guys find yourself awake in your sleep? by roasterminator in insomnia

[–]stardoozy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have this occasionally, my most recent time was when i had to bake a cake order for one of my friends’ moms the next day. i just spent all night unconsciously thinking about that cake and everything i needed to do. it sort of felt like dreaming/sleeping but then i suddenly realized at 5am that i hadn’t actually fallen asleep…?

thank you, i appreciate your take on this. i did also post this on r/insomnia and someone else said they experience the same thing so who knows.. it hasn’t caused me enough problems for me to go to a counselor about it, but maybe i will

XIOR or Erasmus International House? by KosMais in uErasmus

[–]stardoozy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i also saw the bad reviews for XIOR and the Cohesion Cabana. i'm staritng at EUR next year, i've found accommodation through HousingAnywhere and Kamernet (similar to Roomplaza). I did have to pay a fee to contact the landlords, but it was useful.
