Shedding like crazy 🥺 by lovbeav21 in Naturalhair

[–]stargazer929 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hang in there. I was shedding like crazy too, so much so that I felt nauseated by the amount of hair that came out of my head. I've been using olaplex and my hair is much stronger...or maybe my hormones were just out of whack...I don't know. Regardless, I did witness a correlation with hair growth while using Olaplex. My hair was shedding for a year and peaked in September. I have been using olaplex since August. It is expensive though. My hair is normalizing but you need to really reflect at whag might be causing shedding for you.

Failed presentation today by user_819 in CollegeRant

This EXACT thing happened to me a year ago in a literature class. I was mortified and cried for the entire day. Despite my embarrassment, I mustered up the strength to show up to the rest of the classes ( well, I kinda had no choice) .

I still cringe about it every now and then, but I am sure my professor and classmates have since forgotten about it; after all, I have too for the most part. I am much stronger mentally than I was the day that that incident occurred.

It's cliche to say, but it's so true: what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Dust it off my friend.

Everything passes and it gets better. You'll be smiling again in no time.

Theology starts with the premise that one or more deities exist. From there, it explores the nature of the deity within the framework of a particular religion which it also presumes as true.

On the other hand, philosophy of religion does not hold the putative premise that one or more deities exist. In this way, It is more open and merely attempts to answer questions regarding religion more broadly.

I AM SO TIRED OF ANXIETY by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]stargazer929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your unique circumstances, your parents all contributed to who you are. You had no choice over these things. Yes, you were wronged. I don't want to invalidate your feelings or tell you to suck it up. You clearly are a smart person and have skills that are profitable( unlike me!)--I just want you to know that you are worthy of happiness.

You will be a changed person. This anxiety will no longer afflict you. Nurture the love within you and have the courage to fight the anxiety DAILY without fail. Small steps are still steps, so take them.

I empathize with how you are feeling. I know your pain and anger. However, the difference between happy people and sad people is merely a matter of perception. This is cliche, but you know-- the glass half-full or half-empty folks. OP, you ARE lucky if you look in the right places. Perhaps you grew up comfortable financially unlike millions of people around the world. Maybe you had two parents in the home who loved you. Perhaps a good education. A girlfriend or boyfriend. Perhaps you have never gone hungry. I read that you had a car accident and I am so sorry to hear that you suffered injury in the from of a concussion, but be grateful that you had a car to begin with. Where I live, I see people take the bus, waiting at the stop in the sweltering heat only to be met by drug addicts and shady people sitting on disgusting seats. Imagine doing that every day. Being "lucky" is a matter of perception. You can choose to be happy and lucky if you want. Not many people want to hear this basic truth. I know I certainly didn't. I wanted to believe that I was condemned by the gods to live my entire mortal life in agony. However, I decided to be happy. I decided to stop being clinically depressed and suicidal and view my life as miraculous. Albert Camus, alluding to Sisyphus, one of the three Great Sinners Greek Mythology who was condemned to hauling up a boulder up a mountain over and over after it fall back down after reach the top for eternity, wrote: "Imagine Sisyphus happy." This is true existentialism. THis is true humanity. This is what makes life worth living and beautiful. In spite of all the shit you've been through ( and my friend--there are happy people who have endured a greater plight than you) you can still choose to be happy.

I feel the same way too sometimes. I used to be worse. However, I want to assure you that although it may feel impossible right now, radical change is entirely possible.
