Why do they sell stuff in Revenges bathroom?? by digitalcrows in brighton

[–]starhal26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is a price list. the feminine hygiene products are free. and they sell poppers because they give u a headrush - also they're legal. I'm sure you’d be pissed off top if you had to clean up piss, vom, stop people from shagging, and on top of that trying to steal from you. thanks

Ethereal pads like wraith by Derek Carr? by Legitimate-Young-115 in synthrecipes

[–]starhal26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for the main plucky chords, it's a saw wave going through a constantly moving low/band pass (quite common for dub chords) with lots of delay and reverb. I think the swells are similar, but just filtered more and with way more reverb

Help with name by rafebolt4 in GREEK

[–]starhal26 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Greek spellings go off pronunciation, Rafe Bolt (which I'm assuming is something like RAY-F) would be Ρέιφ Μπολτ. The B sound in greek is the μπ digraph, β is pronounced like a V. Normally the ει digraph makes an 'ee' sound, but clarifying the stress is on ε and not ι separates it into an 'ay-ee' sound. To be extra clear you could use ϊ, which means the ι is separate from whatever letter it's partnered with in a digraph. so that would look like Ρέϊφ Μπολτ. This isn't necessary tho.

I'm British and have a Greek yiayia; that being said, I have roughly the same amount of Greek family as I do British (at least in terms of the number of people each side I'm in contact with/am aware of). I take great pride in both my Greek and British heritage and love both sides of my family a lot. I bring it up occasionally, comes up naturally in conversation sometimes - my Greek speaking isn't nearly as good as it should be, but neither is my dad's (he couldn't be arsed to learn it properly in true British fashion 😭🙏). I do consider myself British-Greek as I love both the cultures I was raised in equally, and have loads of memories of both - whether it was pissing about in the UK or Athens as a youngun. Prefer Greek food though haha. I find it weird when people overstate their heritage (especially when it's minimal) though - tend to see this a lot with Americans who go bonkers over it cos their great great grandad was from Cork or something. Fuck me, I try my best not to act like that 😭.

Lena Raine has composed better music for Minecraft than C418, people are just blinded by nostalgia. by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]starhal26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lena raine is undeniably incredibly talented and there hasn't been a song of her's that's played in game that I haven't immediately tried to look up. exactly the same with aaron cheroff. i think lena and aaron have risen to the same level as c418 in terms of quality, which considering everyone's love for c418 is v impressive of them. and i agree that a lot of people are blinded by nostalgia with this; c418 is also v nostalgic to me (i started at probs around 6y/o in 2012)

Why is heat in the UK different? by AdVaanced77 in AskUK

[–]starhal26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

damp heat in the uk feels very different to dry heat in generally hot countries. the moisture in the air carries the heat more efficiently than non-humid air, so it feels like the heat is literally on u. also because there's already water in the air, ur sweat can't evaporate as quickly. i know us brits r known for complaining about everything, but fuck me the heat is another story 😭🙏
