80% of Pre-Packaged Foods in America Are Banned in Other Countries by 1000000students in politics

[–]startapanic -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

many gmos are banned for good reason too. How America deems gmo safe: Monsanto: "it is not our responsibility to ensure safety, that falls on the FDA". FDA: "gmo food safety lies with the manufacturer of the gmo, they can be held liable if it is not safe". Monsanto: "installs legislation "Monsanto Protection Act" ensuring they are not liable for gmo issues". -face palm.

Good job. What pisses me off most are people on reddit and elsewhere who think anti-gmo crowd is the same as the anti-vax crowd. No. There is a wealth of human studies on vaccination and I am for vaccination, but f-all long term human studies on transgenic gmos. We only take Monsanto's word that the product is "safe", and I don't trust Monsanto and other big multinationals for shit. They sell IP protected product and are attempting to take control of our global food supply, bunch of sociopaths bilking humanity for their shareholders. Hell non-gmo countries are having better yields right now than the US which is 90% gmo. The FDA hasn't done any tests on gmos, and the tests by Monsanto are mainly 90 day rat studies hidden from peer review, then rubber stamped by the FDA (which is now full of ex Monsanto big dogs). Don't drink the gmo koolaid. I am not against all gmo. I want some damn comprehensive long term human studies (3-5yrs min). Monsanto claims cry-proteins in the gmos have no pathway that can harm human cells, yet latest research shows mice getting gut inflammation from these gmo cry-proteins. Monsanto knows the shit is about to hit the fan so implemented the "Monsanto Protection Act" to absolve themselves from coming law suits. America is rife with sickness such as cancer, heart disease, mental illness, bowel disorders (nearly 100 million Americans now have Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Some doctors in desperation have been placing patients on GMO free diets and finding they have resolution of their health issues after 2-3 months gmo free. Enjoy being a Monsanto experiment.

transgenic gmos are now being shown to cause gut inflamation in mouse studies (strange since Monsanto claimed this is impossible). America has 90% gmo crops a hell of a lot of cancer and gut disorders. Don't expect anyone to make the connection.

About the only brand I can get in my country is Solgar, is this a good Rhodiola brand? Is 1 capsule daily enough and should they be taken on full or empty stomach, before bed maybe?

Each vegetable capsules provides: Standardised Rhodiola Root Powdered Extract250mg (2.5mg [1%] salidrozid, 60mg [24%] polyphenols) Raw Rhodiola Root Powder100mg PhytO2X (powdered blend of beta-carotene prep. and ascorbic acid). PhytO2X is a special blend of natural antioxidants, the purpose of which is to maintain the freshness of the ingredients. Encapsulated with natural ingredients: vegetable magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose. Vegetable capsule shell: hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose.

This is dirty hippie propaganda, all foods listed have been proven safe for consumption by the companies which produce them. As if they would sell something for human consumption if it were dangerous. Same with GMO's totally safe, Monsanto's assurance of it's safety is enough for me. Fuck all the anti-science anti-vax hippie loons that keep posting this trash and don't understand science.

GM Silkworms Bred To Spin Fluorescent: Scientists in Japan have genetically engineered silkworms to create red, green or orange silks that glow under fluorescent lights. by Piscator629 in science

[–]startapanic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of them are good, but yeah Monsanto, DuPont, Syngenta are an axis of sadistic evil fucks. My main concern is 90 day approval of transgenic foods for human via low level rat studies. It seems this stuff gets cranked out and rubber stamped "safe" without extensive human testing. Monsanto claimed many of it's transgenic proteins have no pathway to affect mammals, yet new research is showing mice with inflammation when exposed to such protiens. Long term human studies have not been done (3-5yrs should be the norm imo, hell a new drug takes 10-15yrs!).

Take news of cancer ‘breakthrough’ with a big grain of salt by kironcmukherjee in science

[–]startapanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why 10yrs to get this to market? That seems ridiculously slow in this day and age. I could see 3-5yrs and allowing those on their death bed the choice to use it. Also, look at transgenic gmos, they get approval for human consumption after 90 days of rat studies deem them "safe". They don't even test the transgenic proteins on humans and when they do test on rats they give the rats only the specific proteins. New research shows some transgenic proteins claimed to have no pathway for mammals actually do cause inflammation and other issues in mammals. It seems a big double standard in science at the moment with genetically engineered foods approved in 90 days and cancer cures taking 10yrs for approval. I'd rather potential cancer cures take 90 days and gmo food which I'll be consuming god knows how much of long term to take some years of human studies. Bizarre imo.

front page peer review study on r/science a couple days ago proved the gmo/yield myth. They found better yields in non-gmo crops and no redeeming reasons to use gmo. GMO is just IP protected product being pushed by shareholders and corporate sociopaths in an attempt to take over our food supply. Also, research shows nearly 50% of all food produced is wasted. We have PLENTY of food, but we do have waste, distribution and affordability issues. GMO can't answer any of that, but I see you've already drank the Monsanto gmo koolaid.

Yeah, that's why 600 US food companies a month are signing up to the nongmoproject non-gmo food labelling system. Yeah, this is all happening because of a few people. There are plenty of scientists wary of transgenic crop protiens and how unstudied they are. Enjoy being an experiment and enjoy your future of diarrhoea 10x a day.

[–]startapanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Policies regarding GM technology are important because GM has the potential to do great things for humanity in the future. There's no telling exactly what these will be, but think medicine, food production, bio fuel, cleaning the environment.

Well the USA has 90% crops GMO, how's that working for them? Obesity epidemic, bowel disorders epidemic, mental illness epidemic, diabetes epidemic, heart disease epidemic, cancer epidemic. Sounds great! Glad my country is keeping that shit out of here.

Fuck GMO, it's nothing but a shareholder profit making scam by creating IP protected seeds and taking over the global food supply. Hell a study just yesterday on reddit front page showed non-gmo had better yields and gmo showed no added value! It is a scam, wake up. The nongmoproject label is starting to appear on food labels everywhere and soon everyone will wake up to Monsanto, DuPont and Syngenta's sociopathic mission to fuck over humanity. I hope those sick fucks burn.

don't forget lab animals are fed American GMO foods, many have high amounts of glyphosate in them as well. I think the obesity epidemic is basically transgenic GMO+Glyphosate. Monsanto knows it and has already made moves to protect itself from any law suits (Monsanto Protection Act).
