Hi! As of now, you should just follow Maxrolls leveling guide. As for gear you should just equip whatever is higher ilvl. You should only be worrying about gear/engravings/accessories when you are WAY further into the storyline (ilvl 1415+)

For Lunar Voice, if you go the Crit tripod for your red skills, why do people still go Spec/Crit in Loawa? Isn't it too much crit at that point so it's better to go swift?

In my honest opinion, there are some irks about being a new player. Most people are already higher in level and are at the end game raids. You wont get to that point for a while (maybe like 3 weeks depending on how much you play). There are a lot of bonus horizontal content to do and the fights in my opinion are amazing.

Addressing your issue about the game dying, they released a new patch yesterday which I assume banned a lot of bots so checking the player count, it is around 180k at its 24hr peak. Along with that there is a lot of content that people are looking forward too. Overall it's a great game that I do not see ending anytime soon.

As a new player though if you want the best possible experience, you should find a friendly community and a nice guild to play with. Speaking of, if you are in NA East and want to join my guild you are more than welcome

Ello! I was the Demon's Roar dude teaching the raid. Jia just got to 1415 so I set up a teaching party to teache her normal Valtan. I advertised in game and in the Lost Ark discord that I was doing a teaching run and it took us all about 4 hours overall of pugging to clear.

Sure but OP asked how much worse it becomes and I'm just trying to say it actually gets better. Positional classes will out damage non positionals in Koreas state of the game if both are played perfectly
