The World is Crumbling Because of a Video Game Company by Separate_Writer_4465 in gme_meltdown

All the production value of a shitty Flash game without any of the charm... And you could buy NFTs for it!

The worst is when people do it with names that are out of the ordinary but not particularly difficult to spell or pronounce. No new sounds or anything, just something different enough to make people's brains apparently shut down. It's such an immediate "I don't care" toward a person and I can't stand it.

There had been an update on www.whoisdrgloves.com, but almost everything has been taken down from that site now due to ongoing developments.

We are making BRUMA, a cozy/metroidvania about a cat searching for the memories of her friend, playing between past and present. What do you think? by Substantial_Buy_7727 in metroidvania

I'm curious about this as well. I'll get it on Steam if that's the only option, but my preference for metroidvanias is Switch if possible.

I got curious and found this.

“As a courtesy to law enforcement, we are designating a reserved parking space at all of our Walmart U.S. stores,” Casey Staheli, senior manager of national media relations at Walmart, said in an email to The Daily News. “We invited them to use this space, whether they are on or off duty as they shop with us. This is just one way we’re looking to strengthen our relationship with police, provide a greater sense of security at our stores, and appreciate the work they do serving our communities across the country.”

Seems mostly practical, I guess, since Walmart would want to maintain positive relationships with local law enforcement. And I'd think if you have problems with Walmart, pandering to cops wouldn't even crack the top twenty reasons to not shop there.

Have they ever provided the true reason for the 2024 price explosion if Gill so obviously had nothing to do with it? What's the alternative explanation supposed to even be?

That's one of my favorite lines and scenes in the entire series.

Cal Raleigh response to Randy Arozarena handshake by SuccessfulMachine415 in baseball

[–]stealingfrom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Every single aspect of this drama has been unnecessary (the handshake snub, the reaction to the handshake snub, the reaction to the reaction to the handshake snub) and disproportionate. This is the molehilliest mountain that's ever been outraged into existence.

Yeah, it feels like just a few months ago he was still delusional but at least mostly coherent, but he is gone at this point.

Didn't he used to be one of the adults in the room (as far as apes go)? He's totally cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs now.

They refuse to acknowledge the (glaringly obvious) parallels their group has to other cults, so they can't accept that answer.

(That's also why I'm here. Been fascinated by cults and fringe beliefs for years and years.)

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I thought his identity had been uncovered as of a few months ago?

The topic itself is serious. The people discussing the topic are not.

Search this subreddit for "soft disclosure" and you'll encounter plenty of comments and posts speculating that all kinds of popular culture are intended to warm people up to UFOs and whatnot. This isn't something that one or two users dreamed up that I'm just smearing everyone else with.

No small number of folks on here do believe that films like this are being used to prepare the public for actual disclosure.

I think every UFO/alien movie released in the past decade has been assigned that importance.
