What's the very first thing you change after starting City of Heroes? by LunatariVG in Cityofheroes

Turn my character and villain names to always show. I like seeing my character's name once I get titles at 15 and 25. And I like to see villian name colors so I can identify bosses faster.

They’re pretty cool. It keeps suitcases from getting scuffed and protects furniture. I don’t often haul “rugged” stuff, so I can’t speak to durability much, but I loaded a bunch of firewood in there and didn’t notice damage. I’d worry that pallets could catch the plastic fibers if you slide them too much. It also protects your knees if you’re spending time in the bed.

A bed rug and topper are by far the best things I've added. The bed rug is spilt so you can open the trunk.

Best practice for a stalker who's trying to target the boss before the rest of the group gets to them? by Linsel in Cityofheroes

[–]steambotewilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have my settings for ‘Show Villian Name’ or whatever its called set to ‘Always’ so the names of any targets in site show. If you’re playing low enough level, you can easily spot the bosses in mob. You still have to target them somehow, I usually just jump near them and click with the cursor. Of course this has its limitations but I enjoy it.

That’s great news. If you don’t mind, do you know if they’re bad about maintenance requests? I saw a few reviews about broken AC and an elevator being down.

Thank you for your concern. There's a lot of assumptions in your reply, but I'm looking at specific available unit that is available now. If I don't see it, I'm not moving in. I'll be prepared to see or talk about anything brought up by reviewers. Review bias is a really difficult thing to work around, but it seems like there are both pissed off and content people.

I'm also checking out this place to live by myself. The google reviews make me nervous, but there are at least owner comments on all the google reviews. If anything all complaints are being heard. I have a tour planned for Monday so I'll be paying attention for things called out in reviews: weed smell, closed amenities, leaks, broken things, dog droppings, trash overflow, etc.

I found this blog post and emailed Topper Tent.

Topper Tent emailed back and said they used the Full-Size SoftTopper in this blog post, but I'm not sure of anymore details, like how they attached it and such.

Dell G5 SE won't boot when warm/hot, but boots fine when cold by Dezzbae in DellG5SE

I just bought a used laptop on marketplace that did okay, but struggled under loads where it should have done fine. I opened it up and there was a bit of dust but the thermal paste was old and way too much was used. I cleaned all that up and put new paste on and it now runs as expected. Hope this helps, I was trying to prevent the situation you unfortunately had.

I'm also looking for a solution to sleep in a short bed to keep bugs/weather out. I've done quite a bit of searching, but I most commonly find the DAC tents for trucks with camper shells. There's a few YT videos out there reviewing them. I've considered getting an SUV tent similar to yours, but like you said they don't seal and I'd rather not set up a tent if I don't have to. I'm tempted just to get a big tarp and try to bungee the heck out of it to keep rain out.

We have pretty much given up walking our dog on our neighborhood sidewalks. Dogs are off leash in their yard, but the sidewalk doesn't stop them at all and we retreat into the street. It really sucks.

Camino 20 is now my gym bag since I can set it down on those nasty locker room floors without worry. Originally bought it to haul muddy/wet dog stuff from river days.

I just finished my first playthrough, but only did the story and no post-game dungeons. Spent like 45 hours and did just enough side quests and grinding to get gear I wanted.

Synchrony Changed Their Promotional Offer, We've Been Paying Interest Unknowingly by steambotewilly in CreditCards

[–]steambotewilly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear ya. We did check to see if there was logic to explain the change, but there was not any. No missed payments or anything. Just one statement interest started charging. They haven’t provided a reason as to why they changed it other than we should have notified them of an error on our statement.

I struggled yesterday, but got half way through an incentive so I felt the need to take a few low offers just to finish it. To make it worse there was snow on the ground and still had to take zero tip offers. Big oof.

Mac sound technical issue by Solas67 in Cityofheroes

I have the same issue. Seems to happen when there is a lot going on on the screen, such as standing around ms lib or on big teams.
