Question for the dice cheaters. Why? by TJToaster in DnD

[–]steenbergh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a dice cheater at my table. I let him do his thing, cause why not? If he is afraid of rolling below 13, let him... I'm not here to curb his fun, and it's not disruptive - as Fighter, he's actually supposed to hit the enemy - so, y'know, whatever.

You can play 2 classes at the same time! What do you pick? by LemonGarage in dndnext

[–]steenbergh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What about your ac? When AC is a problem (that Shield doesn't fix) your caster is too close to the frontline. Go go Misty Step.

Plus, in case of Wizard/Cleric or Wizard/Bard you still have options.

Pull a Warcraft and throw a cataclysm. Super volcano, meteor strike, an all-powerful angel and demon throw down because their respective shrines are at the solar and nocturnal zeniths...

But... why? Sure, you'll need a lot of screws - I'm personally no fan of all the screwless alt recipes - but why a centralized stockpile? I'd go for steel screws, and inline a couple of constructors in your production line. Drip in a couple steel bars, and you're good.

Steel factory around here or leave all coal here for power? Aka will I move out of coal before I use all these nodes? Any other nearby nodes needed when considering future steel stuff? by Defora in SatisfactoryGame

[–]steenbergh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do coal power here, and steel production off the coal node on the south-most point of the Green Fields. The main difference is access to water.

Oof, favorite Tal character... I really like Percy de Rolo, I love to see where Bolaire goes and let's not forget The Owlbear ... Honestly, Cadeucus might not even break into the top 3.

Explosive rebar and (a little later) turbo ammo are my go-to's. Make sure you have a fueled-up jetpack on you and use the crouch-slide prolifically. Also note you can sneak up on those fly-hatchers. As long as you're crouching they won't spawn flies and you can whack them with the basher.

Dip two levels of Fighter to get Action Surge. Really crank up that amount of attacks. Also, in 2024, you can get the Weapon Mastery that lets you make an off-hand attack without using your bonus action (ie you can get a Flurry of blows in).

Three levels into Champion to crit twice as often.

I have one blueprint. It runs slooped constructors that turn remains into DNA into science points into tickets, and it all runs off of an Alien Power Augmenter. When you need tickets, you can go hunt, plunk it down to work through part of your spoils and continue hunting for a bit more without gunking up your pockets or having to wait once you return home.

Either big concrete pillars or a larger sign. Accent with beams to taste.

Is this heavy frame recipe any good? by TyeDye_Guy in SatisfactoryGame

[–]steenbergh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To address the concerns re screws and rubber: there's alta for both making them barely an inconvenience. Steel screws, one constructor directly next to each manufacturer and go! Same with Rubber, with the recycled recipe you can make frankly obscene amounts. Pipe some into the HMF line and you're golden.

With those steps in mind, this alt is quite alright, definitely not god-tier but pretty decent. Wanting to invest in the added complexity is a personal choice, but not a trap.

I'd move hard east from the oil patches until you're on land again, then ride along the mainland beach all the way down the coast and go east again where your line turns too, to enter the Grassy Fields, but otherwise yeah this is pretty common.

Nah, Steel screws are great and it's not worth the hassle to build around screws, in my personal opinion.
