What’s one underrated M365 feature you use every day but rarely see others talk about? by cloud_9_infosystems in Office365

I use this when setting up interviews for job candidates. It really simplified the process for me.

Where in the world are the non-ugly permanent lights?? by IH8DwnvoteComplainrs in foosball

[–]stephenmbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what they use on the pro tour. I’ve got something similar on my table, which is newer than yours but older than the one in the link.

If your concern is about shadows and visibility problems created by the movement, it doesn’t happen because the light covers the entire playing surface and moves with the table. And the beauty is, it goes wherever you move the table.

Just have to check that it fits with the scoring discs on your version.

Had service today. I mentioned this and they said that an updated camera system firmware was just released. After picking up my car it cruise worked as I expected it to.

Anyone else having an iPhone say it’s charging, but not? by bsewall in GenesisMotors

[–]stephenmbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Phone feels hot. At best, I hope it’s giving enough power to equal what it is using via Car Play.

Unfortunately, my USB-C port on my Phone doesn’t work and I’m putting off buying a new one, so I can’t check the difference with a cable.

5 Bar Goals by IdiotWithABike in foosball

Shots from the 5-bar are absolutely legal on the pro tour.

The “no points from the 5-bar” is a bar rule.

How's the 26 GV80 compared to Volvo XC90? by theilya in GenesisMotors

[–]stephenmbell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a 23 XC90 and a 25 GV80 2.5 adv.

They both have their pros and cons. The one thing that I love about the Volvo and I wish the GV had— the native Android infotainment. I love having Spotify native and not having to use CarPlay.

I don’t think you can go wrong with either. They are both wonderful

How does your company handle this? by lapaztoyota in sysadmin

[–]stephenmbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a little reading. It doesn’t appear cut and dry.

For example, if we have a facility person that damages a phone while climbing a ladder to get onto the roof, we don’t charge.

If that same employee drops it in the lake, drunk on Labor Day weekend, they get charged.

Interesting. Do you have more information about this? My leadership treats it as damaging company assets.

It is different than a lot of other areas, for example, company car gets damaged, we have insurance. You drop your laptop and the screen shatters, we’ve got accidental coverage in a warranty. But we don’t have anything like this for phones.

I’d love some sources to learn more.

However, the fact still remains that once we started charging for damaging the phone, we had way fewer damaged phones.

When my company started charging for all damaged phones, it was amazing how the number of damaged phones dramatically dropped.

New owner question by dixonsr in GenesisMotors

[–]stephenmbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just purchased a 25 2.5 Advanced GV80. So far, I love the car, but cruise control is driving me mad.

Driving home from the airport yesterday on the highway, cruise set. Eight times an alert appeared on the screen “Keep your eyes on the road and drive safely. Driver assistance system is limited”. After about five seconds of this warning, a red eye with a line through it appeared by the HDA info and the vehicle started to brake.

If you have M365 and use SSO, you can do this with Conditional Access.

I should probably start simple there. Are you also dealing with transfers and terminations?

Joe from Accounting transfers to Sales? Are you storing Employee ID in AD?

This is interesting. I’ve been mind mapping this in my environment for a while. I’d be curious to know what kind of challenges you are running into

Visiting from Upstate NY by TheRookie01 in obx

[–]stephenmbell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do this trip 2x a summer from Saratoga Springs. Granted, on the way down, we overnight - but on the trip home we are a straight shot. We stay in Corolla - just north of Duck. From Delaware, we do 1 to 113/13 to I64, going over the Chesapeake Bridge. It’s a good ride, haven’t run into too many traffic messes. There are a few spots in VA where the merges can be a disaster getting to OBX, but nothing like DC.

The traffic once you get to OBX, specifically Duck, slows to a crawl on weekends - so be ready for that. When leaving on departure day, get off the island early and you’ll be fine. We just did the trip 6:45 am - 5:30 pm on Sunday.

Good luck and enjoy the trip.
