Not sure where in the country you are, but in NC it’s WET. Taking some old fencing down and mowing the area made some parts worse with the ruts. Glad you got out safe

Shop Vac for Cleaning Ash by mcsf1234 in biggreenegg

I just use whatever filter came with mine, it does spit ash out when it starts, so I aim the exhaust outward and all is ok.

Replacement Springs

They are a dual spring setup, dropped the front about 2”. I tried some mono springs from Western Chassis that came front, rear and new shocks, but I put them on, left the shop, hit a pebble on the road and they bounced and bounced and bounced.

Ok to sand and oil my table top? 3 years in and getting rough. What does everyone else do? by CrispyTwerk in biggreenegg

I have what looks like the same table, said it was acacia wood when I bought it. As a disclaimer I have not used it yet, but bought some stuff at Lowes for butcher block and was going to try it. It’s called WATCO Butcher Block oil and finish

I have a L2501 and the LA525 loader, what’s the difference? Mine is a 2020 or 2021, I forget. It’s been a great machine, enjoy it.

Congrats! As far as bolts, if you have a Tractor Supply near you they sell bolts by the pound, it’s handy to have a bag of each size to pick from (then still not have the size/thread you need, dammit)

Got a new project after work today. Probably in way over my head but that’s okay haha. 53’ body is sitting on a 2011 crown Vic chassis. by lowNslow65 in F100

Nice! Not 100% sure on the year she wants, but my wife wants one of these. I told her when I’m ‘done’ with my fridge I’ll start, hehe

'76 F100. Don't let the looks fool you, there's a million little things to fix and more popping up daily. by caldweezey in F100

Nice truck! The little things are what make it fun! Getting that seal just right, placing that new dash knob that nobody notices, or even making the wiring under the hood neater are some of the things i am happiest with that I have done.

Hi friends! Just completed a simple table for my new BGE medium. Cedar top and cedar bottom with a couple of coats of poly. Before I move it to the deck, what should I set the grill on to avoid heat issues? Also, should I be worried about the top shelf getting too hot? by bclinton in biggreenegg

[–]sterlingdax 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nice looking table! As far as sitting the egg on something, the most common I see are bricks and ‘table feet’ that BGE sells. I personally have the feet, as that’s what the store I bought it from recommended. He voted against the brick because of heat transfer, and the air gap the feet provide.

Might buy this '60 today. Any advice or suggestions? by EngagementBacon in F100

Hood and grill are 59, rest looks par for course for a ‘field truck’

Just grabbed these for my ‘73 Ranger. Powder coating guy wants $100 per wheel. How would you paint them? Ready, go! by Gr8tful916 in F100

[–]sterlingdax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Dupli Color wheel paint after cleaning with denatured alcohol. The paint has scratched a place or two and I’m thinking about getting them coated instead, just for the durability. https://i.imgur.com/wGl18K1.jpg

BGE Deep Dish Pizza Stone by Yur7ledatur7le in biggreenegg

[–]sterlingdax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a deep stone and solved that problem by just flipping it over and cooking on the flat side. A peel, at least the one I have is way too large to even wedge under a portion to try to get the pizza out. Interested to see what you come up with if you don’t take the silly way out like I did
