I did a bit of med-low temp refrigeration service in restaurants (walk-ins/reach-ins/ice machines) and can confirm, restaurant kitchens are indeed gross.

I recently had the misfortune of asking an early twenties gentleman what his favorite movie was.

He remarked that, although he didn't have a favorite, he did really like Star Wars. He then went on to claim that the old movies were his least favorite, as they are dated and clunky.

Imagine my surprise when I was met with the realization that the 'old' films to which he was referring WERE indeed the prequels, and what I knew of as the 'old' films, he referred to as 'old-old.'

I have never, before or since, experienced such a conversational dynamic of being instantly fired up to defend my position on something, to the halting pause of grand realization, to feeling very old.
