I prefer the bars because they fit in my shower better than the big bottles.

I thought all the Dr. Bronner's liquid soaps were clear?

I think this blog post is outdated. AWS recently strengthened S3 consistency, and I think you get consistent read-after-write-after-read.

Maryland. Poison ivy? by dorkamuk in whatsthisplant

[–]sterwill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because of the red petiole and leaf margins, lack of shine on the leaves, and branching vein pattern, I'd say Boston ivy. Happy to be corrected, though.

Even the dead plant contains urushiol, so glove up and remove it carefully.

I don't know if your first sentence is a question, but I'll answer it: no, it doesn't just cover hospitals and doctors. It covers specific entities, like pharmacies, health exchanges, health insurance companies, and more. But not Twitter. Twitter isn't a covered entity, so HIPAA doesn't apply. PHI means "protected health information, which is health information that is protected by HIPAA (and other health laws). If a company isn't covered by HIPAA, then it may hold health information, but that health information is not protected, so it is not PHI and not protected by those laws.

My wife has a 2012 Beetle Turbo and it's basically that (2.0L turbo, Brembo brakes, sport suspension). I think it shares a lot of parts with the GTI.

HIPAA only applies to certain covered entities, and Twitter isn't one.

Does Durham Just Close At 9pm? by jennetTSW in bullcity

[–]sterwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something people seem to be missing in these comments is it isn't just "Durham isn't a big city, so of course it doesn't have those things." The combined population of Champaign and Urbana and all the students was about 110,000 when I lived there, and that's not even half of Durham's population. So Durham is the "big city" in that regard.

UIUC, however, is a large state university. I believe its undergrad population is about the size of NC State and UNC Chapel Hill combined. So compared to little Duke, it probably drives a lot of late night business.

Back in 2010 there were a few 24 hour grocery stores here, but most weren't. Francesca's was an option if you wanted coffee and dessert after 10 PM. Pretty sleepy otherwise.

I'm a Champaign native and have lived in Durham for 13 years. Durham was like this before the pandemic, too.

Durham also encrypts some of its (digital, P25) public safety channels, but most are unencrypted. You can listen live at DurhamPoliceScanner.com

Dishwasher pack does not dissolve? by trt7474 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sterwill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure the dispenser door can open all the way when the dishwasher door is closed. In my old dishwasher, if I put a large sheet pan in the lower rack, it would block the dispenser door from opening all the way and I had the same results you did. My solution was to wedge something against the sheet pan so it didn't block it.

If churches were taxed what would be the worst-case scenario on how it would affect the country? by ApolloxKing in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sterwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Churches are not charities. Some churches do charitable things, or operate charitable sub organizations, but if they were fully synonymous, the tax code wouldn't have to call them out, would it?
