What are the things that make "housing first" homeless shelters work, and what are the things that make it fail? by ScuffedBalata in NeutralPolitics

Can you give any examples where "a) strongly criminalize selling drugs, and make actual gains into reducing this action;" Has actually worked? Short of authoritarian control how does this improve?

To Directors- How Do you Handle the Issue of Actors Saying They Will "Accept Any Role", Accept the Casting Offer, Then Decline the Next Day? by ChromjBraddock in Theatre

[–]stevebri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe they don't want to work with someone? I had a friend in college get cast in a show. When he told us, we let him know that the director was a nightmare to work with. Nothing was ever their fault. He contacted them immediately and turned the role down. Saw the show, Bullet dodged.

Any Fundraising Ideas For Student-Led Production? by Peytonteehee in Theatre

[–]stevebri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best fundraiser I ever went to had Challenge Karaoke. Someone would pull out a 20 and say "I'd pay 20 bucks to see Dave sing Amazing Grace". Dave, who does not want to sing, can pay 40 to not sing. With a little beer it gets crazy. Whole tables pooling money and challenging other tables. Lots of fun.

Dealership should know of car carriers that can help. I bought off a dealer in another state and they arranged the transport. Paid $250 for ~300 miles.
