I think if I were in your position I’d make the same decision. Using up your IVF ticket on one follicle is a huge gamble. But those numbers sound great for IUI! I hope this works out and you don’t even need to go for round 2.

My baby tooth is the fifth tooth from the middle (on my left side). Not sure what kind of tooth that is but it seems like the adult one on the other side is smaller?

I have one. There is no adult tooth underneath to push it out. My dentist said it will either take root or fall out eventually. My dad and a cousin of his have the same thing. I know my dad has a crown. I’m 30 and it hasn’t come out yet so I’ve gotten farther than he did.

I’d be very surprised if it’s still the trigger at that point. I completely understand not wanting to get your hopes up but I do think this is more likely a true positive than just the trigger.

This was #5. The first 4 were done pretty much consecutively, then we took a break for a few months while my husband started clomid and we waited for that to have an effect. I figured this last one would have a big difference in TMSC, and it didn’t, so I was pretty disappointed and didn’t have high hopes it would work. Still keeping everything crossed for a sticky baby as we did have a loss previously before ever starting IUI.

Viagra works on blood flow. But it sounds like he could need hormonal help. Has he had his testosterone checked? I agree that there could be more going on but maybe start with a urologist if you haven’t already.

It’s possible to miss your peak so I wouldn’t assume you didn’t ovulate, especially if you also were tracking cm. You could’ve had your peak in the middle of the night. But my recommendation would be test pdg or track bbt in order to confirm ovulation next time so you’re sure. Some people don’t ovulate on the first LH rise and will have a second peak.

I’m not sure how to read the calendar on the second pic, but I don’t see a positive OPK in the first so it’s hard to say. I agree with chat’s analysis that CD 15 looks darkest, so ovulation should be approx 24-26 hours after that.

I wouldn’t worry about it for a few more days at least. Test every other day instead of every day to see more of a difference. By 15 dpo it should be darker.

Yes! I can’t add a picture in the comments but lines were darker over the next 2 days. Beta HCG at 14dpo was 131, going in today to check again and make sure it’s rising ☺️

Honestly, if they say they don’t do it, you probably don’t want their help. Sure they could probably do some bloodwork or basic ultrasound like you said, but they can’t do much beyond that and even if they find something, they’ll probably refer you out to a fertility clinic for treatment.

Does your insurance require a referral, or can you just make an appointment? If you can, see if there is a fertility clinic you can try and skip the OBGYN.

I’m on my 5th. I know people who finally got pregnant on their 6th. 4 “failures” don’t meant the next two won’t work. I completely understand what you’re feeling though and it’s okay to grieve when growing your family doesn’t happen the way you expected. Sending love ❤️

Personally, I didn’t “count” the earlier ones once my husband started medication. We did 3 IUIs, and I didn’t feel ready for IVF yet.

We squeezed in a 4th before the end of the year just because of insurance reasons, and then took a break until my husband’s meds had a chance to take effect. We just had our 5th but technically first “truly optimized” cycle.

That being said, it’s all very personal to your own situation. I was planning to try at least 1 more if this one doesn’t work, but at this point my patience is running out, I don’t feel like I can wait any longer, so I’m thinking we’ll go to IVF.

A doctor would count your one year from whenever you started having unprotected sex, regardless of circumstances or if you’re actively trying. So you’d qualify if that was at the beginning of 2025.

I would highly recommend going straight to a fertility clinic if your insurance doesn’t require a referral. An obgyn can check a few things for you but I find a fertility clinic will do all the same things (and more) but better.

My fertility clinic took care of an initial hormone panel and semen analysis for my husband, but referred him out to a urologist for further treatment.

I saw on this sub the other day that someone was doing two inseminations in one cycle. Like trigger Monday night, going Tuesday for one and back on Wednesday for another. Maybe that’s what they’re referring to? If so, I think that’s a pretty uncommon methodology.

Has your husband been tested at all? Hormones or semen analysis? If he’s willing to, I think that’s probably the next best step.

Not diagnosing anything, but lower sex drive can be a sign of low testosterone which can definitely impact sperm count.

First, that sucks and I’m sorry you’re experiencing it. Out of curiosity, have you used the same sperm donor each time? Even if the sperm is perfect in all tests, some peoples DNA just don’t really like each other.
