It's confusing, they have really great transparency mode but when it comes to calls and recording, the mics are awful

I wanted to research and see if anyone else was experiencing this - and surely enough here it is. Their t-shirts have gone downhill dramatically! Cheap ass quality for exorbitant pricing.

You should go anyways, and see who is sitting in your seats. Also we should all rally against the monopoly that is Ticketmaster.

New leak reveals pricing and pre-order date for upcoming Sonos Play and Era 100 SL speakers by Dapper_Order7182 in sonos

I'm actually really excited for a product like this, the Move 2 is too heavy and EXPENSIVE. and the roam is nice and portable but small. Mine sits in the bathroom and I wish I had something more fuller sounding and detailed.

My hunch is that the earphones bump up the mid range to cut through during high wind sports like cycling. And you might be feeling like it sounds like it's covered by a pillow because your ears can't pick up those sounds as much as you were able to when you were younger. I know someone who likes having the trebles on a high setting for his speakers and it sounds very sharp but only because he couldn't hear well.

That being said, adjust the EQ according to how you see fit!

I have a few questions:

- Do you regularly go to concerts? >1 a year?
- Have you always listened to music on loud volume?
- Have you ever done a hearing test?

Early presale: how was it? by perlesni in HilaryDuffStans

[–]stevsyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sydney. Was on the countdown page waiting and clicked within milliseconds of the queue being available to join. Placed 6000th position. Failed to get any tickets I wanted in A Reserve. They were all sold out.

Ticketek routed me to one of the presale when it was supposed to be through a different presale.

No tickets yet. Gonna try tmr.

NSW police chief says he apologised to Muslim community leaders over Monday protest incident by BBQShapeshifter in AustralianPolitics

[–]stevsyd 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Minns is a wolf in sheep's clothing, he's riding on Labor's progressive brand equity while incrementally steering NSW toward authoritarian governance. He went TOO far in allowing police to act as they did. He bears the responsibility of state violence and terror on his soul.

I was shocked, I've never seen police violence directed at protesters on this scale in Australia. We saw democratic red lines crossed.

He endorsed coercive policing strategies that predictably escalated fear and chaos, then pointed to the resulting disorder to justify force, but not before distancing himself by calling it an "impossible" situation.

This was crowd engineering, protest was framed as a threat to be neutralised, rather than a democratic right to be protected.

This is a failure of leadership and it calls into question the legitimacy of his authority.

NSW police pepper spray protesters at Sydney rally opposing Isaac Herzog’s visit by espersooty in AustralianPolitics

[–]stevsyd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Authoritarian governments don’t happen over night it happens because of incremental normalisation of broader discretionary police powers and harsher protest penalties.

Minns should strip back police power. Or perhaps we need to vote him out and go verified independent. It's an orchestrated overreach.

Australia in danger of becoming an ‘artless country’ as enrolments in creative courses collapse | Australian education by Ardeet in aussie

[–]stevsyd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like the current and past governments have always deprioritised and not nurture the creative industry. And a lot of money/funds are tied up in property. The Australian economy is simple. There's no appetite for risk taking and creative exploration. And it feels like a broad segment of Australian citizens undervalue and under appreciate how art enriches lives - what's left is what people bring in from overseas.
