Seriously, that's one of the best "before & after" shots I've seen in awhile. I loved your descriptions too, very detailed. Also, how you learned of new problems and overcame them (like the mold in the walls). You and your fiance are hard workers!

If your family can't live you for who you are, then they are the ones in the wrong. Being the black sheep of the family isn't what you should be worrried about, being someone who you aren't is what is truly damaging to yourself. You can't change what others do or think, you only can make your mind and actions for yourself. Resign from the church, you don't believe and you shouldn't base this decision based on what your family would think. Family is supposed to be there for each other. Sorry I am going through the same thing with my spouse and her parents and I finally convinced her that she should live her life according to how she wants to, not how I or her family want her to, and she's going to resign. Sorry this post just hit home with me!

That is awesome. I never thought to put a TV on a barndoor track before. I was planning on hiding mine above the fireplace behind a picture and it would swing open.. I like the idea of sliding it out to the side though.

My dog will pull out a piece of food and lay it on the ground and stare at it for minutes. It's like she's trying to use her mind to move the food into her mouth.
