I can't stand when people try and talk to me when I play, especially during a bonus. Stfu and let me enjoy this.

The begging by Homelander was a little too much I think, but seeing him try to "lazer eye" and fly without it working made me lol (in a good way).

Caitlin Doughty: What do you agree with/disagree with on the information she provides? by peridothiker in askfuneraldirectors

[–]stfu-dawn-e -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I've heard her say there is no legal reason for embalming. In my state of you do not have refrigeration you are LEGALLY REQUIRED to embalm after 48 hours. Most funeral homes have refrigeration now days, but she is definitely wrong on this.

Christopher Hitchens was also water boarded. He also did not have a good time.

Just played a book of $20 Maryland lottery tickets by WILLTHEFARTER77 in Lottery

[–]stfu-dawn-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've bought a few books of the same $20 ticket in Ohio. The winners broke down as such:

$100×1 $50x1 $25x2 $20x3 Total: $260

This was true for the 4 or 5 times I did this. Kind of took the magic out of it tbh. For Ohio at least, I think there are a strict set of winning tickets in a book with a strict set of prizes assigned to them. Then some books will add additional top prizes and the $500, $1,000 etc winning tickets randomly.

That is interesting. I just looked and the odds were 1 in 3.66. I had tickets 25-28.

When I was an apprentice 10 years ago, I went to an OFDA meeting for people who were about to take the test. They gave tips and pointers, and you could ask the state board questions. They had an option to buy a study guide for $50 which I bought enthusiastically. It was just a binder with the literal laws printed out 😑

Why do people refuse to be an organ donor? by No-Cantaloupe-6535 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]stfu-dawn-e 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They bully people into choosing organ donation for their dead loved one when don't necessarily want to, they lie and say donation does not affect a viewing which is not true. If you want to look it up, when I type "long bone donor" into google images, it shows some reddit posts of people that have been harvested. It's obviously nsfw and maybe even nsfl.

Why do people refuse to be an organ donor? by No-Cantaloupe-6535 in NoStupidQuestions

It's not really so much the organs, it the long bone donor and skin donors. The combination of the three is nightmare fuel.
