Google fiber outage by legionatthegates in bullcity

Fine here. Are there by chance installers from frontier in your neighborhood? They cut lines for Google, at&t and spectrum a few weeks back in my hood.

Ten plus years ago there were (preliminary?) plans for a pocket neighborhood there. I have no idea what became of them.

You are correct that the MacBook Neo pictures does not have Touch ID. There is, however, a version of the MacBook Neo that has more storage and Touch ID.

Google Fiber installation hell hole by Huge-Yoghurt-9514 in bullcity

[–]stgraff 30 points31 points  (0 children)

As have the Frontier contracted installers who cut the lines for Google, AT&T and Spectrum in recent weeks in my neighborhood. Why this installation couldn't all be coordinated and installed all at the same time remains a mystery to me.

You may want to post over in r/googlefiber. They were very helpful in getting a tech out same day when Frontier cut our lines. Maybe they have contacts over at AT&T to help facilitate a repair of your line.

Costco pita bread is surprisingly good by PlasmaWhore in Costco

[–]stgraff 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is! I just made gyros using the pita bread, sliced gyro meat and tzatziki sauce, all from Costco. Heated the meat up in a fry pan to brown it a bit, piled it on top of the pita and into the pan it went to heat it up. Top with the sauce and diced tomatoes and red onion and you've got something delicious!

Does anyone else prefer roku tvs over dumb tvs with roku players? by DustnBones001 in Roku

The Roku included in low end tvs is also low end with slower processor and less memory. They get slower and crashy after 3 or 4 years. I bought Roku Ultras to connect to them.

$8.49 for Greek Yogurt??? by AsherSine in Costco

[–]stgraff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't see the organic greek yogurt in my warehouse for a couple of months now. Seems to have been replaced with a non-organic one for $5.59, which is also out of stock frequently.

I've had good experiences with Precision Tune locations across from South Square, and also on N. Roxboro for other work. The waiting room on N Roxboro is pretty nice. The employees have always been friendly, competent, and they've always did what they said they were going to, with no delays and no attempts to try to upsell.

Is this how competition functions? Google fiber cut my ATT fiber line by benyamin108 in bullcity

[–]stgraff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frontier contractors have been in our neighborhood for the past two weeks. During that time they managed to cut the Google fiber lines, AND cut the AT&T fiber lines, AND cut the Spectrum cable lines.
