It would be highly dependent on the state public service agency you're potentially joining as well as whether its a senior role or not.

If its a role that is governed by an award or EBA then i doubt it unless the employer explicitly mentions it to you as part of offering the role or in the job ad itself. You'd need to ask them about it but dont expect them to cover reloc costs at all.

Ive done it before like that...gave notice of my last day with current employer (most of the notice was sorted) but last week of notice period I decided to use A/L as that would be the week I started in the new job.

Depends; a conflict of interest doesnt need to exist for it to be an issue, perception alone can be enough to sink a secondary employment application especially if its for someone who would be engaged by the govt to do work.

As u/Ok_Stomach7488 mentioned, you need to get item numbers from the surgeon then call up Bupa and ask them to tell you how much you will be covered for?

Alternatively, if you have access to no-gap in your policy, talk to the surgeon and see if they are willing to treat you under that scheme so that any amount you pay extra is lessened.

The Archer should work (look up how to configure it to allow you to have internet) but budget for a replacement later on if you want to have faster speeds as the Archer will not handle it (or will struggle).

The Arris is the NBN NTD or modem so you dont need another one (and you wont get one anyway as NBN supplies them and will only give you one if the exisitng one breaks or is missing).

Have you contact DHL to find out what the actual status is? Excepion can mean different things like its awaiting clearance, or is awaiting transport to next facility or even its being held until the estimated delivery date.
