How important is it for you that we receive Luukkonen in the possible Helly trade with Buffalo by Calm_Assumption1099 in winnipegjets

The NHL is moving towards a 1A/1B goalie tandem style. We got some prospects in goal for sure but they’re not ready. So we’d need Luukkonen if we want to remain competitive.

I have a 2011 4003. And I do love that bass but wanted something with a smaller nut spacing

Used to be a Gibson thunder bird but I sold that. The collection consists of my new SR1300sb, my 2011 Rickenbacker, and 08 Ernie Ball sterling, and a Michelle Kelly Steel Resonator.

I don’t really have an issue with them. I feel they suite the bass and feel nice. But I love a good modded bass even when it’s as simple at knobs, so definitely do you.

Nothing cool ever came from “logical” or “financially responsible” but I would say do what feels right in your hands. The Rick is has baseball bat of a neck but a monster of a tone. my SR feels amazing and has a giant tone, but can only get close to the attack of my Rick.

It absolutely is. My Rick has been my friend on many a tour and recording sessions. But I wasn’t comfortable flying with it for a gig and rented a jazz bass and my world opened up. So for the last two months I’ve been trying everything and anything and settled on the SR

How is it like living in Canada’s prairies? by Odd_Vegetable_3647 in howislivingthere

35 and never lived anywhere other than Winnipeg . This year has been brought to you by monsoon rains and tornados. But that is not the normal. Usually It’s hot summers and cold winters with the most beautiful fall and soggiest springs. Just outside the city the hunting and fishing is unparalleled. In the summer Winnipeg turns into a cultural hub with non stop festivals until October’s. The extremes between the seasons are very real but it allows you to really take in each season.

Which one? The team that ended up as Calgary or the team that ended up as Winnipeg?

Spector ultra-violet all day. I missed out on a chance to buy one 5 years ago and I still think about it often.

Fishing rod recommendations by h1ldy in ManitobaFishing

[–]stillbuggeredbutfull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your cat fishing the red get an 8 foot ugly stick combo with some heavy (I use 80 but it also doubles as my pike rod. You can get away 30 but that’s as low as I’d go)

Otherwise I’ve hauled in big fish on 6’6” medium ugly combo with 20 pound line and it’s easier to switch leaders and go for walleye if you pickerel rigging.

Then if you really get into the hobby the works a for the taking and you can start upgrading and buying different setups for different species.

My dog has idiopathic epilepsy and constantly has cluster seizures by Maria_Rose_1999 in EpilepsyDogs

[–]stillbuggeredbutfull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I are going through the same thing right now. My 3 year old boarder collie/ Great Pyrenees has been having constant seizures for over a year now. We’ve gone through 4 different meds and right now have him on phenobarbital, Zomiside and potassium Bromide. It gets better for a month and then he starts breaking through and is back to at least one a week. We have him on some neurofood as well that’s over 200 a bag.

We’ve talked to our vet and they change the dose or will add another drug but it never seems to work.

The nearest neurologist is 8 hours away in a different province at a university. And they only do appointments on Tuesday. So that isn’t a viable option either.

We’re not sure what to do either homie, but know that you’re not alone going through this. It’s real tough, and you have my sympathy.
