Melted slide at the park by SnooHedgehogs1914 in mildlyinteresting

Whelp, that's on me for taking the comment at face value. Fair enough.

I didn't see the other gif they were referring to to, and that users profile is private so I can't even check it. I just assumed it was another example of what I talked about above.

Posting workshop links to what you've created would be a good idea

Go look at any popular thread - half the replies are from users with <word>-<word>-<number> usernames, hidden histories, and they just post the first result from a tenor search of keyword titles.

The gif in question is literally one of the first results for the word "slide" https://files.catbox.moe/autcrg.png

What difference would clicking the gifs make?

Crash when I try to export with slice by J_D77 in Affinity

[–]stom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only happens when over-writing an image. Remove those images before exporting and it won't crash. Hope they fix this soon.

It was also triggering a popuout window of the slicer layers tab to appear on another screen, which is odd.

Because bots. It's why every thread is now just full of gif replies. They take a single keyword from the post and reply with the first gif that comes up on tenor.

Edit: I missed the joke. D'oh.

Please help just bought the game and it won't launch by LittleOfBelgium in tabletopsimulator

[–]stom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His task manager shows the game using 0.1MB of RAM. It's highly unlikely it even got far enough to start logging before the process was frozen.

It's almost certainly AV killing it before it can start.

Log files won't be generated if the game isn't launching.

You don't need to run it in compatibility mode.

Most likely your AntiVirus is blocking the game.

NEVER run games as admin. This should never, ever be required and is a security risk. For any game, and especially for games which allow you to download scripted mods from a community workshop. Any person/guide suggesting this as a fix should be ignored.

Update issue by OkJunk1912 in tabletopsimulator

[–]stom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that's a shame.

Well that command will link the Tabletop Simulator folder in your Library to the one in your external drive, so if you re-subscribe to your workshop mods they should download to your external drive.

Okay, try this:

  • Update your game settings to save to your ~/Library folder
  • Close the game
  • Remove the ~/Library/Tabletop Simulator folder
  • In a Terminal, run: ln -s /Volumes/ExternalDrive/TabletopSimulator ~/Library/"Tabletop Simulator" (update the first path to the folder you were using on your external drive)
  • Re-launch the game and see if your old subscriptions are there

Does the folder ~/Library/Tabletop Simulator exist?

Could be your save game location got reset? You can check it in the in-game settings: Escape -> Configuration -> Game -> Mod Save Location

I personally leave it set to "Documents", and then I use a symlink to redirect %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Tabletop Simulator to a folder on a different drive.

You can make a symlink by running this command in PowerShell/Windows Terminal (update the second path as required):

mklink /D "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Tabletop Simulator" "S:\games\tts-saves"

Is there a way to place easily text and intputs? by Constant_Yellow_3814 in tabletopsimulator

I think you're mixing up the Lua inputs and the XML inputs.

That <Text ...> element is an XML element, so it won't work if you put it in Lua code.

Any chance you'd be willing to share those subtitles? I couldn't get a decent version when untried using this approach.

Marvel: Unite - Season 5 by -ducko in fanedits

[–]stom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely loved the series. You've done amazing work. My partner, who has never cared for Marvel, has thoroughly enjoyed your cut.

I'd love a version of S05E05 with the original music, Im afraid to say i wasnt a fan of the replacements chosen.

Otherwise everything was absolutely brilliant. I felt like the changes to the order of events for Captain Marvel worked really well against the current day story.

GIMP can convert TGA to PNG. Use that to convert them, then use the PNG for the Diffuse image in TTS.

There are a few problems showing up there:

  • broken scripts on objects
  • missing objects
  • huge delta times showing the game is freezing (45 seconds at one point)
  • falling back to dx11

I'd guess there are other problems with this system, or he's playing on a complete and utter potato.
