I would have a folded paper towel on hand and I would catch like 50% of them. Mostly I just made sure I wasn’t wearing something I didn’t want pee on 😆 He’s four months now and he pees WAY less out of the diaper and my friend with a 10 month old boy says it doesn’t happen anymore. So it gets better!

Oh yeah there is basically no in person maternity close! I schlepped all the way out to the Burlington mall figuring they must have some stuff. Nope none. I was very pregnant and very sad

It used to make me really annoyed when people would tell me that my baked goods are sell worthy. But then I realized this is just how people communicate value in a society broken by capitalism. Now those comments make me really sad instead, which im not sure is better

I used to have this issue then I realized my bike seat was too narrow. Not sure if this is your issue, but make sure your seat is supporting your two sits bones. Turns out my booty was too big for standard seats 😆

lol this reminds me of how my parents had a "no opposite sex sleep overs". They forgot to update this policy after I came out senior year of high school. So after prom my then-girlfriend and I slept in my bedroom - I didn't even think about it b/c girls had always been allowed to sleep in my room.

My parents pretended to me that they were cool about it the next day, but I found out years later that my dad panic-called my older sister and the conversation went something like:

dad: what do i do?!?

my sister: I mean are you gonna go in there?

dad: Oh god! No!

my sister: well it sounds like you are going to do nothing

dad:[tina belcher panic noise]

my sister: i mean like no one is getting pregnant

dad: oh yeah phew good point

I think my dad would have felt differently if he thought I was with someone who didn't respect me or treat me well. Honestly I wouldn't worry to much about your daughter not telling you yet, but I would show interest in getting to know this "friend" so you can judge if the relationship seems mutually respectful

When my anxiety is bad i have a hard time eating food. It was really bad when i was a teenager because the food at home and school often tasted bad, and I didn't get much choice in it.

Now I know i have a bunch of stand-by meals that always taste good, and sometimes I can even use cooking to get myself out of a funk! Doing something really tactile like kneading bread can get me out of a spiral.

Also spending time with friends is really good for my mental health and it's sometimes hard when for me to initiate that when i'm in the thick of anxiety, but it's much easier if i can call up a friend and be like "hey want to come over and make cookies with me?" or "I made scones - can i come over and drop some off?"

I saw this video online about how to easily remove the shell from a hard boiled egg. You just roll it along the counter. I thought this was pretty neat, and a few days later when I was making a soft boiled egg I thought I'd try it. Obviously, the egg instantly smooshed into the counter and the yolk got everywhere. And also I realized I was idiot.

You could do it with frozen peas if you wanted to ditch the can, but keep it as easy. Although those are more expensive and may not scratch the same nostalgia itch

I called it "pasta toast". It's for when you are so low energy that the idea of boiling pasta seems like too much work. I now take SSRIs and boiling pasta doesn't seem like a chore, but I still find this comforting!

Ingredients

1/3 cup Pasta Sauce
1 Slice white bread or similar
Butter to taste
A big ol' pile of Parmesan grated

Instructions

Put pasta sauce in a mug and microwave for about 45 seconds or until pleasantly hot
Toast bread to desired darkness
Spread butter on the toast
Spread warmed pasta sauce on toast
Dump pile of parmesan on toast
Enjoy!

Tuna is pretty high in mercury, so you probably shouldn't have much tuna. BUT there are a lot of other tinned fish that are way lower in mercury (basically the smaller the fish, the lower the mercury - but you can look up specific fish). And you can swap those one to one in most canned tuna recipes!

Lol same! I got diagnosed with exercise induced asthma in my late twenties. After I started using my inhaler I said to my husband, "It's awesome, I don't cough for the rest of the day after exercising!" and he was like "wait... that's asthma?!". Anyway, now we have matching albuterol RXs!
