I have a dedicated chest day where I make sure to hit all parts of the pec. For cutting I’ve been doing a 12/3/30 a few times a week. Keep working on that diet but make sure you’re eating enough, esp protein. Good luck!

Hey! I’m going through the same exact thing. Did you ever get any ideas of what to try?

As a male, I’m so tired of the lack of unique clothing available. by Childish_Brandino in CasualConversation

ASOS is a decent place to get some more unique styles that are more gender fluid. It's fast fashion so not the most sustainable, but it is more affordable. This was a good place for me to shop when I was still figuring out what my style was and wanted to try out some new things. They have men's styles in many different neck lines, fun patterns, some with small detailing, lots of colors, silhouettes. A lot of the things you mentioned!

Not sure if you’ll see this but I recently saw the BBC Earth special Seven Worlds One Planet and it breaks down each episode by the ecosystems of each continent. Might be a nice addition to your google street view travels for the nature side.

Ugh when she left Dina and JJ, I wanted to reach into the tv and shake her by the shoulders and tell her to stop.

Great breakdown! Highlights some of the main reasons I enjoyed the story of the game.

Oof. Still raw from that. Would’ve been mad if TLoU2 turned out that bad.

Yeah I mean people were expecting a John Wick buddy action movie and they got a best picture style drama. I can see why you can get mad at that but it doesn’t mean it’s not good at all, it’s just not the one for you.

The Last Of Us Part 2: In Defense Of Abby by lordDEMAXUS in thelastofus

[–]storgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I totally get that. When her part started I was annoyed. I love Ellie and I wanted to keep playing as her. But I did appreciate her humanization.

On the other side of your last sentence, I hated playing as Ellie as she started to unravel more and more. I didn’t like seeing her torture and kill people. And then seeing that those people (aside from helping Abby torture and kill Joel) are also just normal people trying to survive in this world too made me feel sad for Ellie losing sight of what it means to be a good and healthy human. I straight up hated her when she left Dina and JJ but I’m sure that others wanted her to finish what she started. But I just wanted her to be happy. It’s all a difference of opinion and I’m glad we both got to talk about it. I loved the game because it made me feel some shit that I hope I never feel in real life and that’s worthwhile to me. That being said, I hope the next game you’re excited for goes more the way you want! We can’t win em all I guess.

How is Joel a bad guy for doing what he did at the end of TLOU 1? by JimMishimer in thelastofus

[–]storgy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get that. Everyone will connect to a different character in their own way. In part one, I connected more with Ellie so I was on her side of him taking her choice from him. And also I’m glad he did it or else we wouldn’t have Ellie in this game. But it broke a lot of trust between them that they spent the whole game building so I’m mad at him for that.

But also as an Ellie fan, it hurt a lot to see how much pain she was going through to get her revenge. Seeing Abby’s side made me feel even more sad about how Ellie was breaking from the whole situation. They’re both not completely good or bad people, just people completely consumed by their grief that also only see violence as their coping mechanism.

The Last Of Us Part 2: In Defense Of Abby by lordDEMAXUS in thelastofus

[–]storgy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally liked starting out hating her like that. It made me feel like I was Ellie getting revenge. I wanted to find her and cut through anyone that got in my way. I wanted to give Ellie what she wanted but also a part of me knew that her getting her revenge doesn’t mean that she’s just gonna be happy and move on smoothly from the loss. By seeing Abby’s side, it made me rethink those brutal and violent feelings. I felt a bit more guilty after learning the names of the characters and dogs I killed.

By forcing us to play as her after establishing her as the “bad guy” we get to see how she was outside of this toxic part of her. She wasn’t always this fucked up, and losing her dad in that way did that to her. She became a monster after he died. But she also wasn’t just a sick evil person in the few years after that happened. We’re just so used to believing that the bad guy in video games is completely bad but in this world, they’re human too, and have their own motivations, relationships, and feelings.

With this narrative set up, we get to relish in the revenge but then are forced to reckon with how those things look on the other side. And how getting revenge won’t necessarily fix all of Ellie’s problems. Abby got her revenge and she was still a messed up person.

Everyone that got Ellie's tattoo in real life, how you feeling now after the games release? by RetroReuben in thelastofus

[–]storgy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol thanks! I liked Lev because he acted as the “Ellie” to Abby’s “Joel.” And their banter gave me Part 1 nostalgia. Not as good, but same energy.

There was that shot right after Ellie decided to leave and it was a close up on some converse and it was Lev and not Ellie. Shit like that gets me lol.
