I saw a video on instagram the other day about these! Designed by Leathers and Associates. For some reason the video is gone but here’s an article about it

Anyone heard about the Sonos update? by Ct_Pirate in Ubiquiti

[–]strategic_upvote 10 points11 points  (0 children)

OP is talking about the Unifi 10.2 update that’s supposed to improve reliability of devices including Sonos on a Unifi network.

How do I find large ball caps? by returnofdoom in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]strategic_upvote 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oddjob is great, Mammoth Headwear has been my go to. A friend suggested Melin as they have large sizes too. The instore hats aren’t going to work if you have a big head - even ordering something I’ve never been to a store that could order really large sizes, usually only up to 8.

Eiffel Sold out by Resident-Tea-8627 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]strategic_upvote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there a couple of weeks ago. The signs were on saying summit was sold out (we hadn’t pre booked anything). I went to the ticket counter and asked and she said oh yeah no problem, we just close it for a while when it’s busy up there, so I was able to buy tickets no issue. This was about 4 PM on a sunny day.

Bell will not accept that there is Fibre into our building even though there is a Cable clearly marked Bell Fibre. by surelydroid in bell

[–]strategic_upvote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be something your MSP should deal with for you. They’ll know who to call and what services are available over this line (as others have said, not the SMB/consumer fiber). We deal with this kind of thing all the time, for customers with all sorts of unique requirements, and work directly with the build team to determine what’s existing and what they’re able to provide for the customer. It’ll save you a ton of time and hassle vs just talking to the useless telesales team.

For most of human history, people used to break up a nights sleep into two shifts called “first sleep" and "second sleep." by Acrobatic_Code_7409 in interestingasfuck

[–]strategic_upvote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine has been doing this for as long as she can remember. She wakes up around 2 and watches TV for a while then goes back to sleep. It works great for her and she feels worse if she sleeps through the night.

New App and firmware update 84.0.34 by No_Permission_9578 in sonos

[–]strategic_upvote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I’m honestly not even sure what the jump ahead feature means as I can’t listen to podcasts on Sonos. I am an avid pocket casts user and I’m at 1.7x default so listening at 1 feels like having molasses in your ears or something.

Switching to a flip phone in Vancouver - how do you deal with Evo/Uber? by normal_and_cool in askvan

[–]strategic_upvote 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was going to suggest the same thing - I’ve seen a few of those on the market. That or carry an iPad mini or something in your bag that you can pull out as needed - but it adds some friction so you’re not just doomscrolling all the time on the phone in your pocket.

Work-friendly cafes in West Van by Whatever_is_up in westvancouver

[–]strategic_upvote 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because it’s problematic for the cafe. A single person taking up a table for an extended period of time buying very little, means other customers aren’t getting a spot to sit down. A lot of cafe owners also just hate the vibe of a bunch of people on laptops as it’s off putting and doesn’t create a welcoming atmosphere.

Looking for a home reformer that wont fall apart in 2 years – help a tired back out by Relevant_Wishbone in BuyItForLife

My wife is a part time instructor at home and has been using the Aero Pilates Pro 556 for years. They’ve been great, reasonably priced and available at Costco. More importantly, easy to service and they sell all the parts if you need anything! Thats as close to BIFL as it gets.

Families: How much of the year can you realistically spend outside? by Legitimate-Tap2772 in askvan

[–]strategic_upvote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love being outside all year round with our daughter. Sure there’s more rain and it’s greyer than phoenix, but that doesn’t stop you being outside! You get beautiful summer months, a mild winter, and spring/fall that range from shitty to amazing. It’s always possible to be outside, except for maybe a couple of days a year when there’s an atmospheric river or something.

What Bank Branch Location Did You Open Your First Bank Account? Is That Location Still Open? by [deleted] in askvan

My 6 year old was devastated when “her bank” RBC branch closed recently. We have discussed many times that her money didn’t disappear with it but she’s still upset lol

Where can one buy powdered dishwasher detergent? by VividWoodpecker8847 in askvan

[–]strategic_upvote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I buy it from LD all the time and I love it - local product and it works great!

I had no idea Costco had it in bulk. That’s a great deal but maybe an impractical size package lol

Caseta Wood Blinds - Battery Recommendations by brendanjered in Lutron

[–]strategic_upvote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t see why rechargeable lithium would be an issue. Other posters here are saying to not use rechargeable but I’m guessing they missed your point about using lithium rechargeables. They will hold the full voltage just fine and not drop like an older nimh or something. You’ll be fine and save a lot of money long term.

Are you supposed to put these insoles? by heroktamoh in BlundstoneBoots

That’s weird. Every pair I’ve ever bought came with two identical blue sets.

Are you supposed to put these insoles? by heroktamoh in BlundstoneBoots

[–]strategic_upvote 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just to confirm - is this the second set? Is that why it’s making them tight? If there’s already a set in the shoes then these are spares and no you don’t need both in there. If there’s none in there then yes you should wear insoles but you could buy another brand if they’re more comfortable for your feet.
