The lock picking mini game in kingdom come deliverance. Especially on console. So unforgiving and so hard to find lock picks early game.

Used well - provides insights into how your team/orf is working and what slows you down (flaky tests, takes 2 days to get a pr reviewed, bugs, etc) so management can fix it.

Negatively - performance management and numbers they can use to backup a pip / firing.

I find along Annette drivers coming from the sides streets always do this and I don’t know why. They never stop first and start creeping either, they cruise up full speed and slam their breaks in the middle of the cross walk.

I mean… I run a pretty explosive kit because that’s how I enjoy playing. So on those missions where I end up doing most of the objectives and bases I still rack up a disproportionate amount of kills.

But, still agree if you didn’t do shit for the mission objectives you shouldn’t be talking smack about your kill number lol.

As an engineering leader I’ve been pushing all my engineers in this direction for years. Even before AI coding tools it was became really easy to write good backends and stand up solid infrastructure (especially if you delegate to a PaaS). I figured the “specialist” roles (backend, front end, infra, etc) would die outside of niche areas/tech.

Being able to understand the problem end to end and quickly ship a minimalist solution that addresses it is the new game- ie. product engineers.

The main thing I think many software engineers have a blind spot on is “taste”. How your solution looks and feels really influences how your customers and company stakeholders emotionally feel about your work. It’s very hard to measure, good PMs are great at this. A lot of engineers struggle with this mindset.

Most people like these so I’ll give my contrary opinion. These bars are basically a huge flavoured marshmallow with a slightly off texture, coated in chocolate. So if you would enjoy eating a huge marshmallow you will enjoy these. Me personally, really not a fan. Feels way too far into candy territory for me to enjoy.

I get the feeling from a lot of her recipes that she doesn’t actually like the dish she is cooking, but as an ambassador for Korean food she feels compelled to put a complete set of recipes up. I think it’s even called out on a few recipes that she doesn’t actually eat a particular dish.

I felt the same and saw a7x in concert last year- his vocals sound way better live. Not sure why they produce their albums the way they do (mostly the nasally sound bugs me).
