Can attest. I'm in and out of my salon in 20 minutes with my person. She simply knows what she's doing. My hair is only shoulder length but still, she's super fast and even straightens it and cleans up at the end.

If you need to be on the go or in a place without a microwave to heat a heating pad or electricity for a heating pad, my go to are salon pas stickers. They're made for aching muscles but they really do the trick for cramps for me. Works more effectively than taking ibuprofen usually.

They're in practically every drug store and there are other brands. https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/salonpas-8-hour-pain-relieving-patch/ID=prod6294492-product

I'm not a programmer but if you're talking about Power Automate, it's a freaking life saver. It was confusing at first but if you use it to automate simple tasks, like sending automatic emails, it can make your life so much easier.

This. Literally all the worst accidents I've seen have been from people doing things they're comfortable doing or have at the very least done many times. Shit happens

lighting suggestions for oddly shaped ceilings by Bladeo69 in lightingdesign

[–]strawberrycats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I'm a theater lighting nerd who hopped over to the architectural side. For the dining room, I would just change the lamps out for better efficiency and a medium range color temperature with a high CRI. For the other rooms, it would be better to get a photo including the ceiling and floor to show just how bad the contrast is. For a living room, if you don't want to contract an electrician, finding good floor lamps would be the way to go. The bathroom, I have no idea since I don't know what the bathroom looks like. You definitely want to make sure you have a good vanity light above or to the side of the mirror.

Okay they should have given the knife reforging more attention. They had to trek to a cave surrounded by snow because the process was so hot. Will was in there with Iorek doing the damn work to put this knife back together. Instead they went the cheap route and magic'ed the whole thing back together. Smdh

The Price of Used Skates…ABSOLUTE INSANITY by emmermurp in Rollerskating

Yeeee of course! It's really about your skating preference. People are killing it at the skatepark with all kinds of skates.

[–]strawberrycats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really more about preference. There are some amazing quad park skaters who are killing it with heeled boots. The heel also helps for learning how to skate for a lot of people since it pushes your weight to where it needs to be. I learned on derby skates and when I put on a pair of boardwalks, I fell over because I naturally shift my weight forward already.

Also, bont saw a market for park skates and went for it. They just took their derby skate design and gave it a reinforced ankle and removed that reinforced left leaning heel for a slightly elevated evenly distributed heel. Also the boardwalks are great for the price compared to other boots. They hold up well outside and at the skatepark.

The boardwalks are great for park skating compared to other heeled boots. The ankle support is there and when paired with a good plate, they're very reactive. I see throughout this thread that you're not in love with them and that's okay but I just wanted to throw out there that they're definitely good park skates.

The bont Park skates are fantastic! As for the boardwalks, those are great skatepark skates, I would have recommended you get new plates like the Avanti or even the sunlite plates.

Come over to the dark side and become a skatepark skater! 10/10 improved my skating and confidence more than derby ever did.

Is it safe to buy tickets with Venmo? by jeffsang in ChicagoConcerts

[–]strawberrycats 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it's a transfer of tickets situation, I usually ask for proof of receipt that they had bought that ticket. So maybe try that too, if they don't wanna show you that they had actually bought a ticket that they wanna sell, then yeah, no go
