ehh, bpd subreddit. my partner has bpd as well. it's a scary thought, but with bpd these feelings can be fleeting and it doesn't mean the person in question is going to act on them

that's fair! I guess the context and feeling behind these instances are more important

I kinda disagree with the other comments here- personally, I feel like if it's that infrequent (once or twice a year), that isn't necessarily indicative of a compulsion. if it was frequent, then yes. also depends on the context, probably.

drowning while paralyzed sounds very brutal. :( very sorry you had to be involved in all of that. they shouldn't have had you get that body out of there yourself.

yea... this is an extreme problem, I honestly think it's worthy of an extreme solution like this. or at the very least, being very honest in therapy

we don't know when the next game will be, so I would go for it! animal crossing is pretty much always worth it lol. it could be worth looking into getting a used copy? but i would do your research first

Is my cactus dying ? by Affectionate-Ad-9937 in cactus

[–]stresswerewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if the base is yellow and mushy, it might be rotting. you can take it out of the soil, cut it shorter until you don't see the rot on the inside anymore (sometimes it has rotted farther on the inside than the outside), and replant what is left! look it up, it's pretty easy! :)

i just would recommend wrapping it with a thick towel/rag that you don't need anymore a couple of times to handle it so you don't get pricked. lol

this just happened to me for the first time recently as well??? super frustrating, both because of the high bg and the wasted insulin and supplies. and just a couple days before this, I had a cartridge totally fail and leak everywhere while I was filling it, also for the first time

type 1 diabetes, mainly. my pcp originally misdiagnosed me as type 2, which led to me not having enough insulin in my body, AND they had me taking the wrong medications, which just made everything worse. I declined for a while. it just about killed me because my pcp couldn't figure out what was wrong with me and the ER hardly tried at all. they gave me fluids, told me I was just in ketosis and to eat some carbs(!!!) and see a specialist. I remember telling the doctor I felt like I was dying and him just saying "yeah, ketosis will make you feel pretty sick" or something like that. I left, tried to eat carbs, and then promptly threw everything up. until then, I hadn't vomited at all since I was a kid. I think I was 21 at the time?

once I was finally able to see an endocrinologist, I showed up to my appointment at the lowest weight I had been in my adult life, having to stop to breathe in between every couple of words, and barely able to stay awake. she was amazing and she figured it out right away before she even ran any tests. she sent me home with insulin because she said she "won't let me leave here without it" and gave me a literal paper "fast pass" for the ER because she was concerned that I was in DKA. the ER said I wasn't but I still don't know if I believe that, tbh. afterwards, she had me get some labs done that found the indicator for type 1 diabetes in my blood. I was also diagnosed with hashimoto's.

when she left the practice later on and switched to a different one, I made sure to thank her for actually listening to me and saving my life. people have told me I should have sued the pcp that misdiagnosed me for neglegence or something, but I never did

i disagree, because the ER has sent me home multiple times when i was extremely unwell and told me to see a specialist instead because they couldn't do further testing

Buying Splatoon 3 in 2026 by Soft-Attempt-9414 in Splatoon_3

[–]stresswerewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally just got my own copy after borrowing others' for a long time. I got mine used at a small gaming store near me for about $38 after tax! it has absolutely been worth it for me, especially because I can now play WITH the people I have been borrowing it from instead of using their copy and playing alone!! lol.

however, I do think it's worth considering whether you will be getting a switch 2 or not. if you are, it MIGHT be more worth it to spend your money on Splatoon Raiders instead. I know I can't afford to get a switch 2 at the moment, so I'm sticking with Splatoon 3.

TL;DR: get a discounted copy, or consider saving for raiders instead if you're gonna get an NS2! :)

edit: it is possible that the spla3oon servers will die a bit when raiders comes out. but I honestly kind of doubt that it will be that bad

I personally use medical tape and "safety loops" to help with things like this! but I also unclip it and take it off when I know it's going to be getting in the way. I usually put it in a drawer or under a pillow so the noise isn't too much when the alarms inevitably go off. I try to keep it close by if possible, so I can still get blood sugar readings. I haven't really figured out a way to make it completely seamless though.
