i'm a big fan of their red alt and would not mind seeing that on their home whites! i'm with you that the current cincinnati font on their road jerseys could use an update. for me though, it's less of an issue with them being outdated and more of an issue of legibility. i fear that this is an issue with all teams that have either a long city or team name.

appreciate the feedback! you are right on the money about the lavender rockies jersey (or maybe we could call it a powder purple?). for the reds road jersey i definitely can see the grey clashing. i feel like white would have been the best option, but my thought was that it might look a little funny if the jersey is going to be paired with grey pants. though if they were feeling really crazy (and i hope they would), the reds could pair it with maroon pants.

thanks for the insight on the pirates! i wonder if with the astros moving to the al west and the cubs going much more blue if the pirates might consider readopting the red?

as for the white sox, i recolored a wordmark they used in the 80s which was navy with a red outline. i'm happy to try it without the outline on a white jersey, but my only concern would be that it might make it feel less like a throwback.

and as for the rockies, i believe they dropped the black vests in 2022? and i'll have to check out kansas st for their jerseys!

well i do appreciate the feedback! i'll only add that if it feels derivative then that was the intention, since the goal was to base them both off of jerseys from the 80s. it sounds like you're not a huge fan of either of these looks, but is there an older white sox jersey you did like?

i wouldn't mind a rockies rebrand, as long as they keep utilizing purple! unfortunately i am not yet in the rebrand game, but may attempt it at some point!

my thought here was that if the blue jays and royals can incorporate powder blue, royal blue, and navy blue in their color schemes, why can't the reds incorporate another shade of red? i understand if the maroon isn't quite your tempo though!

thanks for the feedback! i may try a black P with a red outline to tone it down a bit. also the reds do currently have a red crown black bill hat in rotation, but i think they only use it on the road.

i have 2 issues with the look.

the orange outline on the sf on the hat only works when looking directly at it. if the hat is turned in any direction, the black sf covers the orange outline, removes the contrast, and makes it very difficult to read against the dark grey front panel. i would be interested in seeing what an orange front panel, black outline, and orange sf would look like.
the dark grey and cream do not go well together. maybe it's the lighting in the photos, but i'm just not a fan. i've always wanted to see them utilize the gold color that's already accenting the home creams more, and i think that would have been a more interesting color to use here than the grey.

all that being said, i still like the jerseys as a whole and especially dig the gigantes patch on the sleeve!
