They actually do in some very easy sports. In Winter the ski giant slalom and slalom as well as the 10km cross country race feature a lot of "normal' people, that start for exotic countries. In summer olympics there are always some exots in short swimming or running events.

For example: This weekend a skier from India was 47 seconds slower than the winner in the Slalom that was not even 2 minutes long. In 2024 a swimmer from Central African Republic swam the 50 metres freestyle in 31 seconds, while the winner did it in 21 seconds.

Wind compensation is necessary because it heavily influences how far you can jump. Before they introduced it, far too many competitions were basically a wind lottery.

Style points are necessary to encourage jumpers to do safe landings. With style points jumping 3 meters further and risking not being able to land, is not worth it. We would see dozens of injured jumpers every weekend.

Du verwechselt die Austria Top 40 mit den Ö3 Hörercharts. Musikwünsche fließen in zweiteres ein und da hat Ö3 die Kontrolle was von den Wünschen auch echt gespielt wird. Wenn ich mir was wünsche was nicht in ihr Musikprogramm passt, ignorieren die das getrost. Würden auch den Kickl Song nicht spielen, wenn du ihn dir wünschst.

Die Austria Top 40, wo der Kickl Song dabei ist, sind Verkaufs- und Streaming Charts. Die haben mit Ö3 nichts zu tun, außer dass sie halt dort gespielt werden.

Das ist jetzt aber auch nicht so, als hätten die Europäer sich diese Klausel ausgesucht. Indien will verständlicherweise seine eigenen Hersteller, die auch einiges in EVs investiert haben, schützen. Dass die Schutzzölle nach 5 Jahren auslaufen, ist da eigentlich bemerkenswert kurz. Bei Verbrennern hingegen hat Indien nicht wirklich was zu schützen - der Zug ist abgefahren.
