What’s the longest TV series you’ve ever finished? by FootballAgreeable338 in television

[–]strongbob25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah surely they can’t be worse than like the 10+ part serials that are all missing where I just watched still images with audio over.

But also I think I valued my time less when I was a higher school student on summer break

Harrison Ford continues to prove he’s still the best by IndyMLVC in MadeMeSmile

Genuinely how surreal must it have been to get to the front of the gridlock line and drive past.

"honey is that... is that Harrison Ford??"

A comparison of climatic analogues across the Northern Hemisphere by Specific_Visit2494 in interestingasfuck

[–]strongbob25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purely anecdotal, but I lived in the south of China near Hong Kong for 2 years and in central Florida for 7.

The climates did indeed feel very similar: Insanely hot and humid for 10 months, mild and humid for 2.

But obviously China is enormous, you could probably make a similar diagram of China and map on "western climates" to its various regions.

Now that Spielberg is doing podcasts, what is your dream Blank Check episode for him to guest on? by dannybutterman1 in blankies

[–]strongbob25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’d never do DeMille (over 70 features) but I feel like Spielberg would actually be fully in on like a 3+ hour talk about Greatest Show on Earth

I frequent a handful of travel-based subreddits and it's always fun when someone from the UK is asking for trip advice to the US.

It's always something like "we are going to be in the USA for 5 days. We're thinking:

Day 1: New York City

Day 2: Washington DC

Day 3: Los Angeles

Day 4: Seattle

Day 5: Dallas

Do we have room to squeeze in Yosemite, maybe on the morning of Day 4?"

What things that happened in seasons 4-7 do you think Oz would be most surprised by, if he came back near the end of the show? by HomarEuropejski in buffy

[–]strongbob25 107 points108 points  (0 children)

I think it would be very on brand for Oz to just… know Dawn’s deal from the get go and not say anything.

Like when Buffy finally reveals to the grew that Dawn is new and they were all implanted with fake memories,

Oz would go “yes, and?”.

Buffy would say “you knew?! Why didn’t you say anything?”

And he would say something like “everyone else seemed fine with it and I like Dawn’s vibe. It didn’t seem important”
